Today we’d like to introduce you to Brent Moorer Gaskins.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Yes. I was laid off in 2015 and made a decision to follow my heart, My head had already used “The 1st 48” years, now it was my Heart’s turn. I applied to a casting call on Facebook and ended up getting booked by Tammy Smith Casting for “Sputnik 1” which you may now as “Captain America 3: The Civil War”. I made the trailer and it was no turning back after that.
Since then, I have been featured in several blockbuster Movies and TV Series such as Tyler Perry’s the Oval as “Thomas Fields”, Wakanda Forever, Captain America 3: The Civil War, and Avenger’s Endgame. I have appeared in National Commercials such as Bank of America/Boston Marathon, Southern Cancer Institute, Cracker Barrel, and the General where I had a chance to meet Shaq! Yes, he’s huge for real!
I have also taken the Lead in a few independent projects or helped to produce as well as supporting roles. Newly dropped on Fawesome TV, “Grits and Eggs”, on Tubi several movies to include When First We Practice to Deceive, Take A Stan, Jack Be Nimble, Hey Chris TV Series, One More Day, Mafietta 2: A House Divided and more.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it hasn’t. Broken relationships, Homelessness and all that comes with that, I have had production companies and individuals that didn’t want to give me proper credits for Film projects. No transportation to booked gigs that I had to decline or replace myself with another Actor to try and keep the relationships I had built over time.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We have activated our TV Network and are looking for content to monetize with Independent Filmmakers. We are known for our 80/20 distribution agreement for Monetization and our Global Marketing Partner English Promotions LLC whose services can be independently acquired and Yes it is fee based and Meta regulated so all organic promotions. What sets us apart is that We come from the industry we support and that’s why we developed our Network. So that Independent content creators can have a starting place to immediately distribute their content without jumping through hoops or not being to deal with the Owners directly. We are not an exclusive network meaning your content can be distributed anywhere else on any other platform and it’s not a conflict of interest. At this time though, We are not purchasing anyone’s content. You maintain 100% Ownership of your content. 100%.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to Me is growing the Network. If that happens then that means We have helped a lot of content creators monetize their gifts and talents. There should never be a “Starving Artist”, never.
‘My business Partner and Co-Owner of the Network, Eboni Joi, has been vital to the growth and maintenance of the Network. We would not be here today without her consistent support, even when no one else does.
We are in pre-production mode now on our 1st solely produced project with a Legendary music Artist. We will update ya’ll once it’s been completed and on the TV Network. We also have a few projects being edited for the Network as well.
We have content coming from as far away as Nigeria by creators such as Idum Felix with projects like SIRA. Stay tuned…
