My journey began in 2016, following a significant life change—my divorce. I was seeking an alternative to the traditional gym routine, craving something that would not only challenge me physically but also help rebuild my confidence and connect me with a supportive community. That’s when I discovered pole fitness.
From the moment I experienced my first fast spin, I was hooked. The physical challenge and the empowering push from the pole and aerial fitness routines were exhilarating. But what truly captivated me was the incredible community. The pole community is filled with amazing, supportive people who encourage and uplift each other.
This transformative experience inspired me to create Vertical Allure Studio. I wanted to provide a space where individuals could reclaim their essence and build confidence while gaining strength and flexibility in a judgment-free environment. Our studio is more than just a place to work out; it’s a sanctuary where people can find support, make meaningful connections, and push their boundaries.
Today, Vertical Allure Studio stands as a testament to the power of community and personal growth. I’m proud of the supportive environment we’ve cultivated and the positive impact we’ve had on so many lives. My goal is to continue fostering this community and helping others discover the transformative power of pole and aerial fitness.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to where we are today has been anything but smooth, filled with its share of challenges and obstacles. Starting out, there were the typical struggles of launching a new business—finding the right location, securing funding, and navigating the complexities of permits and licenses. But beyond these logistical hurdles, there were deeper, more personal challenges.
One of the biggest struggles was overcoming societal stigma and misconceptions about pole fitness. Many people have preconceived notions about what it entails, and breaking through those stereotypes to showcase the empowering, fitness-focused aspects of pole and aerial arts is a significant hurdle. It requires a lot of education and advocacy, both within the community and in our marketing efforts.
Additionally, building a supportive community from the ground up isn’t easy. Creating a judgment-free space where people feel comfortable and accepted requires a lot of effort and dedication. It involves not only setting the right tone and culture within the studio but also actively engaging and connecting with each member to ensure they feel valued and supported.
Despite struggles, each challenge has taught me valuable lessons and made me stronger. The journey has been filled with ups and downs, but seeing the positive impact on our members’ lives makes every hurdle worth it. Our community’s resilience and the support we’re building together are truly inspiring and keep me motivated to push forward.

It’s those moments when someone conquers a new move, celebrates a personal milestone, or shares how our community has positively impacted their life that bring me the most joy.
