Hidden Gems: Meet Dedrick & Jasmine Thompson PRN Salon Suites of PRN Salon Suites & Creative Concepts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dedrick & Jasmine Thompson PRN Salon Suites.

Dedrick & Jasmine Thompson, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Dedrick and Jasmine Thompson’s journey into PRN Salon Suites grew from two different backgrounds coming together and from a foundation that was already rooted in family and the beauty industry.

Jasmine brought more than 19 years of experience in the beauty industry and a firsthand understanding of what independent beauty professionals need to grow. Her journey into salon ownership also carried a sense of legacy. When her aunt decided to retire, Jasmine had the opportunity to purchase her salon, allowing her to take something that had already been part of her family’s story and build upon it in a new way.

Dedrick brought nearly two decades of entrepreneurship, with experience in sales, events, marketing, business development and funding.

Around 2015, Jasmine’s connection to the beauty industry introduced Dedrick to the salon suite model. Together, they saw an opportunity to create something that went beyond simply renting rooms. They wanted to build an environment where entrepreneurs could have the independence of owning their own businesses while still having access to support, community and opportunities for growth.

That vision became PRN, which stands for Place, Resource and Network — a place to operate, resources to help strengthen businesses and a network designed to create new opportunities.

Over the years, PRN expanded into Germantown and Cordova and continued to evolve. What began with Jasmine carrying forward a piece of her family’s beauty-industry legacy has grown into a vision that she and Dedrick are now building together.

Today, they are developing PRN Salon Suites & Creative Concepts around a larger vision that connects beauty, entrepreneurship, creativity, content and community.

Their story is still being written, but the foundation has remained the same: honor where they came from, create opportunities for others, build people and continue growing the vision God placed in front of them.

And the next chapter is already on the way , a new PRN location will be announced soon.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely not been smooth, and that has been a major part of Dedrick and Jasmine Thompson’s growth as business owners.

Like many entrepreneurs, they have had to navigate tenant turnover, cash-flow challenges, construction and buildout issues, changing markets and the pressure that comes with growing a business while still managing family and everyday life.

One of the biggest lessons has been learning that growth is not always about doing more. Sometimes it requires slowing down, restructuring and being willing to change the original plan when the business is showing you something different.

Those challenges have helped shape the direction of PRN today. Instead of simply focusing on filling salon suites, Dedrick and Jasmine have become more intentional about building the right community, creating stronger resources for their professionals and developing a business model designed for long-term growth.

For them, the difficult seasons were not wasted. Many of the lessons that came through setbacks are now influencing some of their best decisions.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
PRN Salon Suites & Creative Concepts is built around one simple idea: beauty professionals need more than a room to work in.

PRN stands for **Place, Resource and Network**. The company provides private salon suites, but its larger focus is helping independent beauty professionals build stronger businesses, increase their visibility and become part of a real professional community.

With locations in Germantown and Cordova, PRN serves hairstylists, barbers, estheticians, nail professionals and other beauty entrepreneurs. Beyond the suites themselves, the brand continues to expand its resources through education, business development, content creation, networking opportunities, events and creative spaces designed to help professionals market themselves and grow.

What sets PRN apart is its focus on the person behind the suite. Dedrick and Jasmine Thompson never wanted PRN to feel like a building filled with individual rooms. Their goal has been to create an ecosystem where professionals have access to opportunities that may be difficult to create alone.

That philosophy has also led to the development of **PRN Creative Concepts**, expanding the brand into content studios, experiential events, creative activations and spaces where beauty, entrepreneurship and culture can connect.

Brand-wise, Dedrick and Jasmine are most proud that PRN has continued to evolve without losing its original purpose. The company may have started with salon suites, but the vision has always been bigger than real estate.

PRN is ultimately about helping independent professionals become more visible, more connected and better positioned to grow.

That is why the message behind the brand remains simple: **PRN is more than salon suites.**

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
For both Dedrick and Jasmine, some of their favorite childhood memories are connected to family, being surrounded by people they loved and the simple moments that felt normal at the time but mean much more looking back.

As adults, especially as parents and business owners, they have gained a greater appreciation for those memories. The gatherings, conversations, laughter and time spent together helped shape how they view family and community today.

That sense of connection has carried into how they raise their own family and even how they approach business. For them, success means much more when there are people around to experience it with.
