Hi Renata, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
She started back in 2011 with R&B Tax Express. I open my office in the back of my cousin’s barber shop.
Also, purchase 2 bouncers off eBay So I could start my inflatable bounce house Rental. I’m a single parent of 4 and I wanted to work for myself so I could be available for my kids.
After 1 year in the tax business that when I opened my office in Moscow I started with 150 clients now, my company has 2.4k, I’m also the owner of Pearson Tax Software, Pearson bounce and & fun, and the beautique, and Natus cosmetic.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been easy but it has been worth it.
In my first year, I lose money in the tax business which I wanted to walk away but I prayed to God, I just kept telling myself in any situation. I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me, which was one of my grandma’s favorite quotes.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Why I stand out in this business is because I’m always making sure I gain much knowledge to help all my customer’s tax needs. I specialize in small business taxes and personal.
I do have 2 locations one located in Jackson, Tn R &B Financial services LLC. I’m proud of each year I have increased clients and how also learned how to brand my own software.
I have class and now an e-course where I teach people how to run a successful tax preparation company. Every customer has a unique situation I make sure to find ways to help them out.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My mentor was one of my best friends who showed me everything about the business. That’s why I’m always welling to help anyone that wants to start their business.
