Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Wallace.
Hi Terry, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The year 2014 and a Nokia phone started it all! I had a friend who wanted to capture content for an upcoming music video, and he asked me! With no equipment but an eager spirit, I jumped in head first and started to capture the magic of it all. With no intention of being a photographer, I walked away for about a year to determine what was next. Photography chose me. With a passion blazing, I started capturing a picture of my muse. She opened my eyes to what was beyond the lens, and I snapped my first paid client in 2015 with my Apple iPhone. My client encouraged me to keep going because I had a gift. That same day I purchased my first camera, and I’ve been shooting ever since. Because of the people who believed in me, I stepped into my calling. I am Wallace Ink Photography.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The things that your heart desires most definitely give you the most headaches. Being a rookie in the photography world, I’ve made some mistakes. Being self-taught, I had to study and dedicate time to become better than I was before. Being a photographer also has its ups and downs when dealing with clients. But that’s all a part of building a brand and a clientele. I’m still embarking on my journey and setting goals I must obtain! I want to be the best and leave my mark as one of the greatest to ever step foot behind a camera.
We’ve been impressed with Wallace Ink Photography, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We call ourselves Wallace Ink because I am Terry Wallace, the owner, and the Ink is simply what it is the INK that brings the printed image to life! Wallace Ink Photography is creative! We capture moments that will last a lifetime. We offer off-site and in-studio settings. We also capture those special milestones such as weddings, baby showers, parties, baptisms, sports events, fashion shows, and more. We offer holiday pictures and cater to school functions; we offer online galleries for all events to access the precious cargo(pictures). So if you’re having anything special and want to capture those moments contact us, and we will snap away.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was your typical jock. Any sport I played. Very quiet but observant. I paid attention to details, and if I didn’t know, I was asked or did my research. High school set the tone when I took a course on media concepts. My personality always leads the way, and my talent follows.
