Today we’d like to introduce you to Will Jones.
Hi Will, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am born and raised in Memphis by two great parents. Family/community is my why. Both my parents sacrificed a lot to present my sister and I with every opportunity possible. They made sacrifices so that I could get a good Christian education at Harding Academy and then that propelled me to college at Lipscomb University in Nashville. I quickly realized that Memphis was my home and I made my way back right after graduation where I waited a year saving up everything I could to propose to my now wife, Bailey. When I graduated I accepted a job with an independent insurance agent in hopes of buying his book one day, but I was presented with the opportunity to work under a successful State Farm Agent, Trey Clemens. With amazing support I was really successful in Trey’s office and the stars aligned for me to interview for my own office. Two years later we are going strong!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road. Especially right after college, I graduated and was ready to tackle the world until my first job didn’t get off to the start I expected. It is really hard entering the business world for the first time because you don’t have the experience or context to know if things are good/bad or acceptable/unacceptable.
Other struggles are when you are in a good situation fighting the mundane. I think that has been my superpower (on top of the amazing family and community I have). As humans no matter what we do or what we get we always find a way to want more or get “used to things.” Accepting this and not pursuing a grass is greener mindset has really helped me embrace the mundane and get pushing for success.

We sell insurance but you get so much more than insurance when you go with us. That means we are discussing and educating on insurance, what coverages you have, how they work, and trying our best to make sure you are covered so that when disaster hits you are not devastated. What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is just time with my parents. The older I get and now that I have a daughter of my own I am blown away that no matter the circumstances they always found time to be intentional and make me feel seen and known.
