Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Bocchino
Hi Brandon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Back in Spring of 2021 my father wanted lambo doors on his Jaguar. He hired a company that didn’t do the greatest job and their customer service was awful. I went out to the manufacturer, learned the skills, and then started doing the installations myself. I decided based on my father’s experience to offer a lifetime service warranty. The installation originally took about 22 hours, but we’ve managed to bring it down to a 4 hour science. I can install lambo doors on 3 cars per day just as one person. In 2023 I brought my brother in. He was building ski lifts in Maine and I told him about what I was doing and he jumped right on in to build a family business with me. Last year we managed over 150 installs and that’s been the average the last 3 years. We hope this year to really break out as we’ve added ZLR doors, light kits, and other mods to our catalogue. In less than 4 years we’ve worked on over $40 million in new corvettes installing lambo doors. My father Michael runs the office and handles our scheduling. He is located in Indianapolis. We travel worldwide for vertical door installation. I have clients in Midtown Memphis, Marion (Arkansas), and just across the border in Mississippi. We consistently work on luxury cars in Memphis and go to the Autozone Liberty Bowl for networking and of course the awesome football. We’ve been doing business in Memphis for almost 4 years. The company is headquartered in Indianapolis with another office we just opened in New Mexico.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a journey. I spend 285 days a year on the road working on cars typically driving almost 100,000 miles. I am the local installer in Los Angeles. The local guy in Portland, Maine. The local guy in Memphis, Dallas, Miami, Seattle & Canada. I go to dozens of car shows a year and my clients compete in thousands, but it took working on hundreds of cars to get to that point. When I did my first thought and put it out there I can do it I’ve always stayed busy. It’s becoming a trademark to have me do your lambo doors since nobody else has ever done as many or ever attempted to perfect the craft. It’s an extremely demanding process that requires your patience and focus for 4 hours straight. It took me a year to get the 22 hour process down to 4 hours. I was spending entire nights in client garages discovering 1,000 ways how not to do it and the one perfect way to do it. On top of that the automotive industry is a very harsh environment to break out in. Hundreds of companies have stolen my work and use pictures of my cars in their ads. What I learned was that specializing is the only way to make money in automotive. Anyone can change oil. Don’t do the basics everyone else is doing. The riches are in the niches. The crazy part: four years ago I had never used a tool. I went to college to be a lawyer and a professor and found myself unable to work in an office. Couldn’t stand academia. Covid forced me into a harsh financial situation and pressure makes diamonds. I decided with this new found time to throw my effort into anything and everything. When my dad needed a mechanic for his doors I threw myself at it and now here I am.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Family is everything. This business has made my family a lot closer. Since I’m traveling everyday I see another relative every few weeks whereas before years would go by without saying hi. No excuses especially in this line of work because you are only young for so long and you need to strike while the anvil is hot.
