Hi Lamonte, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well I started out in photography, and met a lot of entertainers I decided to take it to the next level.By starting two promote comedy shows. And move it to another level, start it promoting southern soul show. I decided to put the comedy shows and southern soul shows together and called it Blues and Laughter! After doing my annual new year’s eve event in jackson, tennessee, I decided to do a podcast. But the time that was allowed for the podcast was on a Saturday, and I didn’t want to do a 7 soul podcast on Saturday. Knowing that other big radio stations play southern soul on saturdays. So I said to myself, I need my own radio station. Months went by and I got the call. Met with the owners and Power 104.1 The Source was born. June 1 2024.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Any time that you working for yourself?And I start a new project like this, you’re definitely going to have pitch falls. You see, I had never been in radio before, so I reach out for help from different people that I knew that was in the industry. But there was a learning curve.
I was told in the beginning that the radio industry is totally different now because of the internet and I have found that to be very true. But I know a lot of praying and hard work would get me where I want to go.

Power 104.1 The Source is a new and exciting station. Matter of fact is one of the few .that is n the nation right now.. I am mixing southern soul and R&B together. Which is new to the market. I have other cities around the country watching my moves right now.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Well, radio is built on listeners and advertisers. I am actually on the FM ,and AM dial , plus I am on a streaming platform called Live365.com. so we can be heard all over the world.
