Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Smith and Neal Mynatt.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
During our time as professional dog trainers, we realized most of our clients were still struggling with destructive, disobedient dogs. While obedience is paramount for all dogs, it isn’t the singular piece of the puzzle; they also have to be appropriately exercised. Most of our clients were working full-time pet parents who also had children and little time to commit to exercising their dog after a long day’s work, having a family to feed, and homework to do. After the pandemic, we saw a significant influx as people started to return to the office and spent more hours away from home while their dogs were kenneled. We wanted to alleviate the stress of working pet parents by offering a service that would help them maintain a well-behaved dog and, in turn, keep dogs from being rehomed or taken to shelters. Keeping your dog exercised mentally and physically compliments obedience and makes for a much happier, healthier pup and a happier household.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
While it has sometimes been challenging, we have yet to hit as many bumps in the road as expected. One of our biggest challenges has been creating a functioning and user-friendly website. Neither of us has previous website development experience. It’s still a work in progress!
Thanks for sharing that. Please tell us more about your business.
