Hi Brittney, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Creativity has always been our thing! SCC Party Boutique started as a love of designing and crafting parties for my twins and has evolved into a bespoke event styling company that also offers luxe balloons and unique rentals. Along the way, my sister, Erin, joined the company as co-stylist, and together we are the faces behind the brand.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been about as smooth as the streets of Memphis! Lol! As with any small business, we have experienced our share of difficulties. In particular, we are constantly met with the challenge of ensuring that our client’s special occasions and milestones are memorable through design.
In addition, with us offering rentals along with our event styling services, we’ve had to build a vast inventory from the ground up. And let’s not forget about the many hats that an entrepreneur wears! We are still learning each day and also working to simplify our processes by outsourcing when we can.s
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
If you follow our company on any social platforms, you will see us say that “we don’t do basic.” With each event that we style or balloon design that we create, we aim to make it one of a kind. We are meticulous about the small details that set an event apart. We take pride in the experience that our client has from start to finish and we can turn even the smallest ideas from someone who doesn’t quite know what they are looking for and turn them into some extraordinary.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
We are always learning by referencing others in the industry who are doing things right. We are not shy to invest in masterclasses, one-ones, coaching, and virtual courses that we feel will help elevate our brand! We love Honeybook and have recently invested in Goodshuffle Pro to manage our rental inventory.
