Today we’d like to introduce you to Cody Steele.
Hi Cody, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Cody Steele started Gallery of ink in 2012 in Jonesboro Arkansas to provide NEA with a shop they could trust and call home for all their tattoo needs. The company started small with just a couple of artist and now has 7 full time tattoo artist.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like starting any business from nothing there are a lot of struggles. Building clientele and earning the trust of a community is a lot of work we struggled the first year to get off the ground and luckily we had some great artist to guide us. Some former business owners worked at the shop and helped us see the ups and downs to ride the waves so to say.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are most proud of our versatility as our shop doesn’t specialize in any one style of artwork. If you come in you’ll be greeted with a smile and no matter what styled your looking for be it photorealism or simple line art we can do it and give you a tattoo that is magazine quality.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Honestly it’s our job, everyone knows that old adage,” love what you do and you’ll never work a day”, but for us that holds true. To be able to come into work and create art with another human being in such a permanent way there truly is no better job. We truly appreciate each and every client that allows us to create with them in such a unique way.
