Hi Destiny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2018, that’s when I completed High School in Conway, AR, and moved to Memphis to start college at the LeMoyne-Owen. Freshly coming into a new state was different for me, but it didn’t take long for me to make friends because of my personality and my fashion. A lot of the college students loved my style and said how different it was from a lot of people they’d met. In 2019, I then opened my clothing brand Des Beautyville LLC to bring me sense of style to Memphis. I was shown so much love with my brand and saw men and women dressing in my clothing. This is the year I decided to get serious with my fashion by posting my outfits for the day on social media. Posting my style on social media gave me recognition from people in different states and also out of the country like Africa, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.
In 2020, I decided to become an influencer since I’ve been noticed by many and influenced by many. I started getting a lot of requests from men and women to style them personally, so I began virtually styling for free. In 2021, this was the year my life changed with fashion all the way to this point in my life. I’m a brand ambassador for many companies in fashion, skincare, and events. I gain recognition from big brands such as Fashion Nova, Revolve, Jurllyshe, Grass Fields, Journeys, etc. I also gain recognition from big artists here in the USA and in Africa. I now have a virtual styling business called “Styled by NEVIOR” and is the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m a content creator on Instagram and TikTok and I have a great support team I love dearly.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been easy for me. Growing up not having a stable life, and not that much financial support, it took hard work and dedication to get to this point.
I had to do a lot of saving, selling snacks, and clothing, and working 3 jobs just to succeed in the way I feel success is. I’m blessed to be in this position I’m in now and I can’t do anything, but thank God for everything and glad I didn’t give up on myself even when others doubted me.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an Influencer, Content Creator, Virtual Stylist, and truck driver. I influence people with my style, personality, and encouragement to never give up on the self and to shop with different brands I work with. I do content videos on Instagram and TikTok with my fashion and comedy. I virtually style men and women with different online brands to make them like a million bucks on a budget.
I’m a truck driver and I vlog my life traveling the world while encouraging them to never give up. I’m known for my fashion, TikTok, and hard work. I’m just proud of myself that I never gave up on life or let negativity change my plans. What set me apart from others is that no matter if I’m in public or at home, I will always make content and be proud in everything I do.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for any upcoming influencers or anyone that wants to be an influencer is to get yourself out there. No matter where you’re at just make that content. People are going to stare, they may even stand there and watch you the whole time, but it’s just a part of being an influencer.
You’re influencing the next person to be in your shoes. I wish I knew that it takes way more than just posting pictures and making videos. You have to reach out to people and make them see you. When you do that, they will make sure everyone sees you.
