Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Reed.
Hi Emily, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Mama’s Crazy Life began in lockdown, during a time when the world felt uncertain but my little girl was growing right in front of me. I started the page as a way to document her childhood — the tiny milestones, the messy moments, the routines that kept us going, and the memories I didn’t want to forget.
What began as a simple diary for family and friends slowly became something bigger. As life changed, our family grew, and I became a mum of two, the page grew with us. It turned into a space where I could share the real side of motherhood — the chaos, the laughter, the exhaustion, the wins, and the honest moments in between.
Mama’s Crazy Life is now our digital scrapbook. It’s where I share mum‑life, student‑life, business‑life, and everything that makes our days beautifully hectic. It’s a place for other mums who are juggling it all, for anyone who needs a bit of realness, and for those who love seeing the everyday magic in family life.
This isn’t just a page anymore. It’s our story, our community, and our reminder that even in the craziest seasons, there’s so much worth capturing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Mama’s Crazy Life started and it became just me and my first little girl, figuring everything out together. I was a single mam trying to juggle nappies, night feeds, and the chaos of everyday life — and somewhere in the middle of all that, I picked up my phone and started sharing it on TikTok, Instagram.
TikTok and Instagram became my little escape, a place to laugh at the madness, connect with other mums, and show the real, unfiltered moments that don’t make it into the picture‑perfect feeds.
Then life changed again. I found myself in a new relationship, and before long, I was a mam of two — navigating blended family life, new routines, and a whole new level of chaos. It wasn’t smooth, and it wasn’t simple. There were moments of doubt, moments where I felt overwhelmed, and moments where I wondered how I was supposed to keep all the plates spinning.
But those struggles are exactly what shaped this space. They’re what make Mama’s Crazy Life real, honest, and relatable. Every twist in the road taught me something — how to adapt, how to grow, how to laugh through the madness, and how to keep showing up even when life feels heavy.
This account isn’t about perfection. It’s about the journey, the resilience, and the beautiful chaos of being a mam in all its stages
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Right now, I’m just starting my journey as a student on the Criminology and Forensic Science degree at Northumbria University, which I begin in September 2026. I’m at the very beginning — learning the basics, preparing for the workload, and stepping into a completely new field. It’s a big change, but it’s something I’ve always been curious about: understanding behaviour, evidence, crime scenes, and the real stories behind why things happen.
I’m building this from the ground up, studying hard, balancing mum‑life, and creating a future for me and my girls. So yes, my job right now is being a student who’s just starting out in criminology and forensic science, and I’m genuinely excited to see where it takes me.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was full of energy and always on the move. I had a big personality — loud when I was excited, stubborn when I believed in something, and soft‑hearted underneath it all. I loved being around people, loved making others laugh, and I was always the one who turned even the most normal day into a bit of chaos and fun.
One of my biggest passions was freestyle dancing. That was my world. Music on, worries off. I’d spend hours practicing routines, learning new moves, and losing myself in it. Dancing gave me confidence, freedom, and a way to express everything I felt without saying a word.
Looking back, that mix of creativity, chaos, and determination is exactly what shaped who I am now. It’s the same energy I bring into motherhood, into my TikTok content, and into Mama’s Crazy Life — real, expressive, a bit wild, and always full of heart.
