Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Martin Barnes
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Eric Martin “Beau” Barnes is the face behind EMBB Designs, Events & Photo, which excels in Wedding Stationery, Graphic Design, Event Coordination & Photo/Video Services. Our company designs for countless businesses, schools, colleges, churches, campaigns and weddings all over the U.S.. ‘EMBB’ is a native of metro Memphis, TN by way of Renova, Jackson and now, Southaven, MS. I am an alumni of Delta State University in Cleveland, MS where I graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration & Strayer University where I obtained a Masters of Business Administration in IT Project Management.
I have always had an eye for style & a vision for graphics & the arts. I started to pursue this career in Design in 2008, designing solely from God-given and self-taught talent. Knowing that style and perception drives the world, the EMBB experience was birthed. EMBB grew and expanded into professional photography & videography. Excelling in small business marketing, wedding stationary, event execution and capturing moments, EMBB DESIGNS extends services worldwide. In 2023, EMBB DESIGNS LLC was awarded ‘The Best of Mississippi Award’ for Graphic Designer of the Year!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have been blessed and fortunate enough to sustain a long career in this field. Graphic design and event management has always come easy to me, however, I birthed the Photography service in the middle of COVID-19. Surprisingly, that was the beginning of something amazing. The road to becoming a notable creative has not always been easy, but the reward is great!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have branded myself as an Event & Digital Creator. We graphic design, create wedding stationery, execute your events & capture your moments. We specialize in brand development and detailed photography. I am most proud of my attention to detail and my ability to bring out the best in my clients. If you are nervous about shooting, give me a call. I have an uncanny ability to make my clients feel safe and empowered. I feel separated from other creatives because I have a personal satisfaction for the end result, it’s not always about the money :).
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I have a two-fold answer to this question. My family and our collective well being matters most to me. Also, the relationships and bonds that I form with my clients hold a special place in my heart. I believe relationships outweigh money and fame.
