Hello beautiful people!
My name is Jaquoia Mayes, and I am the owner of Noir Hair Collections. Noir was founded in March 2021. My journey began with my love for the hair industry and my natural ability to want to help others with their healthy hair journey. I am a Licensed Braider and Natural Hairstylist. What fueled my love for the hair industry was the fact my grandmother and mother were both licensed cosmetologist.
Noir Hair Collections always pride on putting our consumers first to ensure wonderful experiences that will last a lifetime. We created an organic and all-natural hair care line for ALL hair types.
Our products are great for clients with alopecia, thinning/balding, low porosity hair types, normal porosity hair types, psoriasis, dandruff, locs, natural hair, relaxed hair, and straight hair. In addition, our products, services, and expertise are backed by years of holistic research to ensure a healthy hair journey for all.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning, I struggled with creating a great formula that would be beneficial for all clients. Therefore, I decided to create several different collections to fit a variety of hair types.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Licensed Braider and Natural Hairstylist, who created a hair care line to cater to my clients and to benefit people all over the world. As of right now our products can be found locally at Taylor Made Beauty Supply located in the Raleigh area and also at Secure The Crown Beauty Dispensary in Birmingham, Alabama.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am married to Shaquan Mayes, who supports me and pushes me to exceed all of my aspirations. He is the backbone of Noir Hair Collections.
I created the entire hair care line to help care for his hair and in turn, I have grown not only his hair, but several other clients hair across the world over the past year. He allows me to be me, and I am very thankful for him.
