Hi Jas, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey in the beauty industry began with a passion for creating art. About eight years ago, when I embraced my own loc journey, I started practicing on my hair. Soon after, my daughter began hers, and she became my canvas. From that point on, I dove deeper into my passion for loc styling. I then took my passion further by enrolling at the Institute of Beauty, where I earned my natural hair license. And from there, my life took an incredible turn, opening doors I never imagined in the world of natural hair. I serviced my first celebrity client before graduating.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think that every journey in life comes with its challenges and struggles, but overall, my path in the natural hair industry has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve watched myself grow from servicing clients in my living room, to working in salons, and now, I own my own salon space. This journey has elevated me, and I truly believe that if you stay consistent there’s nothing you can’t achieve. It feels amazing walking in my purpose.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a master loctician, curator of two all natural hair oils (Liquid Gold & Rosemary Sunflower), & I create custom handmade jewelry (waistbeads, bracelets, necklaces). I’m a creative visionary who not only brings each client’s vision to life but also deeply cares about the health and integrity of their locs.
My jewelry making actually paved the way for my gift, because it keeps me creating. Not just with hair, but by adding beads, loc sprinkles, even additional hair to achieve a certain style.
I love creating a space where my clients feel confident, seen, and beautiful just as they are. Embracing your natural beauty is always the goal. This is how I express my creativity through hair, and it’s why I call myself a creative visionary—my clients share their ideas, and I bring them to life.
I’m most proud of myself for being consistent and resilient, never giving up on my gifts, and always believing in myself while staying authentically me. What sets me apart is the one-on-one experience I offer—it’s why I call it “The Jas Xperience “. When you come, I want you to feel deep relaxation and a true sense of self.

I specialize in all things locs, from micro locs to interlocking, palm rolling, loc repair and more. I focus on natural methods, only using oil when retwisting, and never relying on harsh products, so the health of your locs always comes first.
