Life & Work with K. Lynne White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Korrie L. White.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Yard Sparkle started as a desire to put smiles on faces. I have always loved to decorate for special events and holidays. After being in the house for months, my husband’s birthday was coming up, and I wanted to celebrate him. I saw a Yard display sign I wanted to get for my husband’s “drive-by” birthday celebration and contacted another company to install a sign. After waiting weeks to hear back from requests for a Happy Birthday Yard Sign, to be told they did not service my area, my brain went into overdrive. I have never been one to accept “No” for an answer.

I have always been a believer that no, simply means finding another way! It just means a delay, but never denied. It was at that moment that I turned to my husband and said, I am going to start my own company and be accessible to all of the Greater Memphis area (not just our suburbs). Always being supportive of my ideas, he said okay, go for it!

That is how Yard Sparkle was born out of my garage in 2020! Now we are offering franchise opportunities to others that want to bring endless joy to their communities. If you know of anyone that would like to join our team, have them visit our website at www.yardsparkle.com.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Over the last two years, our biggest challenge has been being able to keep up with the demand. Learning to say “no” is always a struggle. We have many of our customers (we call them Yard Sparkle Family) that lead busy lives and wait until the last minute for requests (No judgment, we understand life happens)! Often, we are booked, and they reach out asking, “Is there anything we can do”? Well, of course, we make a way to help make their special day!

We are incredibly blessed to have this type of challenge. We have been fortunate to have an amazing Yard Sparkle Team.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Yard Sparkle is a premier Yard Card company that takes the time to help you celebrate all occasions. If you are celebrating a birthday, graduation, anniversary, new home, divorce, back-to-school event, grand opening. If you can say it, we can spell it out in the yard for your next event.

We love doing surprise set ups. You simply go to the website www.yardsparkle.com and click Book Now/Reserve Now. You select your color options and tell us a little bit about the individual you are requesting the sign for. We will do the rest. Our design team will design your sign and prepare it for our installers, that will set up your sign and pick up for you.

We are now offering Franchise opportunities and sharing our successful $1k per week earning formula to new Yard Sparkle Business Owners. If you would like to start your own Yard Sparkle or know someone else that would like to spread joy, have them to visit our website at www.yardsparkle.com and click “Join our team.” We are looking for people to be able to sparkle Yard in all of Tennessee, along with other states all over the country.

What matters most to you?
My Faith, my family, and my friends matter the most to me! My Faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, keeps me grounded. My family means more to me than anything.

Without them, I would not be able to be a blessing to others. My friends have been some of my biggest mouthpieces throughout my journey. I am forever grateful each day I rise and have the opportunity to serve others.
