Life & Work with Leeosha Wallace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leeosha Wallace.

Hi Leeosha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Yes gladly thanks! I can say growing up I have always been a busy girl! I never quite knew what I really wanted to do, because very close relatives of mine struggled with alcoholism. Our relationships were effected by this & so they weren’t to active in our lives, my brother & I. I got bullied as a kid for reasons that I didn’t choose so I was always looked down upon especially in Grammar school. I made it my business to go into high school and be whatever I decided to be not what the world think I should be. I started on dance teams, and volleyball and I even wrestled. Every sport or extra curriculum I took helped me become who I am today. And I’m grateful for it!

In high school, I decided to seek help with therapy. We had a free clinic in the basement that I took advantage of because I didn’t feel fully supported or taken serious when I spoke my truth to my family about certain events that took place in my life that was affecting me. My mom and grandma were very upset with me because they didn’t believe these things took place & tried to make me feel ashamed & like a liar, at that moment I knew that I couldn’t depend on family & I would have to take care of myself in this world, I was 14 at that time. That event really effected & transformed my life.

I am now 27 years of age and I know who I am, I know what I want to do, I know where I want to go and no one but myself can stop me. Some of my talents/gifts are a Stand Up Comedian, Hosting, Dancer, Actress, Model, Fitness & Flexibility Coach to name a few. One of my favorite hobbies is Creative Directing . Guess you can say I’m a Jane of all trades. I don’t believe in putting all your eggs in one basket. I have a plan A-T and I am proud of the woman I’m becoming! This year February will mark my One Year anniversary since I started focusing on comedy & for hosting 2 months after that in April. I remember when Someone who I thought was my friend tried to discourage me from perusing comedy, but I soon learned that this comedy lifestyle comes with haters and people who want to see you fail. However that isn’t going to stop me from manifesting my dreams. One of my goals I am manifesting is getting booked for More comedy Shows. In the mean time hosting allows me to sharpen my iron. I’ve been on stage hosting every month since last April and I am really thankful for this great opportunity.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road and I honestly don’t think it was supposed to be, especially with the hand I was dealt. I believe the obstacle for me was the lack of focus, time management, and a strong support team. I believe because i had multiple interests/talents no one took me serious because I wasn’t putting in action with any of them.

It was kind of like Chess and I’m the white piece on the board and without me moving first the game is at a standstill. I was stuck for years, my pride wouldn’t allow me to ask for help and I surely did not want a man to help. I always thought all men wanted to do was get in my pants and all the women were hating on me. Once I got out of that weak mindset everything started to change and things started to move and everything/everyone aligned to support me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well as I’ve shared earlier I am a comedian, hostess dancer, actress, model to name a few. And I truly love what I do, I am able to tap into all of my passions and talents while growing, evolving & influencing the world around me in a positive way! You’ll always catch me brightening up the room rather it’s with my smile, my style, or my humor. I am most proud of choosing to grow out of my bad habits, I am proud of me choosing myself and the things I want to accomplish in my life. I am proud of myself for not giving up when everyone told me to, I am proud of these tours I have scheduled to go on this year 2023 officially as a stand up comedian & I’m extremely excited about that!

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
DON’T GIVE UP! It doesn’t matter if those around you have keep going, getting out there, and finding like-minded people such as myself so you guys can work together to manifest what you all want. Don’t hesitate to reach out & ask for help so you won’t become so overwhelmed.
