Hi Alexis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into skincare and spa ownership has been fueled by a lifelong passion for wellness and a desire to help others feel their best. With a background in biology and an MBA, I started my career in more traditional roles, but after becoming a mom, I realized I needed a path that offered more flexibility and purpose.
When the opportunity to take over The Spa Midtown came along, it felt like the perfect fit. It allowed me to blend my love for skincare with my commitment to excellent customer care. I believe self-care isn’t a luxury it’s essential and I’ve worked hard to build a space that’s both results-driven and deeply nurturing. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m so proud of what The Spa Midtown has become.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not always smooth but every challenge has helped shape me as both a business owner and a person. Taking over an existing spa came with a steep learning curve; learning systems, managing a team, and making the space truly reflect my vision. On top of that, balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship hasn’t always been easy. There have been moments of self-doubt, burnout, and learning how to give myself grace.
One of the biggest struggles has been navigating the pressure to “do it all.” But I’ve learned that showing up authentically and staying grounded in my purpose makes all the difference. It’s not always easy but it’s always worth it.

The Spa Midtown is a welcoming space in the heart of the city offering personalized, results-driven skincare and wellness treatments. From advanced facials and microneedling to injectables and body contouring, we tailor every service to each client’s unique needs.
We’re not your typical clinical, sterile med spa. Instead, we’ve created a warm, comforting environment where clients can truly relax and feel cared for. While the atmosphere is inviting and soothing, we still deliver the effective, professional results you expect from a medical spa.
What makes you happy?
Honestly, I’m happiest when I see people feeling good and confident. Whether it’s a client leaving the spa with a glow or just grabbing a little me-time, that’s what it’s all about. Outside work, I love hanging out with my daughter, playing with my chickens, digging in the garden, and hitting up Rumble for a workout. Those simple things keep me grounded and remind me what really matters.
