Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Cohran.
Hi Anthony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I grew up in Oxford, MS. As a child, I grew up living with my grandmother. She taught me about perseverance and striving to help out my surroundings. As she aged, I found my calling of being a massage therapist. My grandmother had a lot of complications with her health. I would always give her massages after doctor visits, surgeries, or just because.
After graduating from high school and attending the University of Mississippi, my grandmother became really ill. Even with the workload, I would still go visit my grandmother to give her massages. Upon graduating from college, I found my way to moving to Memphis to pursue the world of massage. My grandmother was the inspiration for me to pursue a career. Being about to help her through her journey of health-related issues, I wanted to focus on the alternative healing from my hands.
She gave me the confidence in knowing that I had anointed hands of healing. While in massage school, she would call me magnificent and teach me to keep striving for greatness. She passed away leaving me with the name Magnificent Hands. I have been going strong for over 12 years.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I was blessed when I first started doing massages. I landed a contract with a nursing home. It allowed me to do geriatric massage. I wouldn’t say there was a struggle along my journey, but it did take a lot of discipline and long hours to get to the status of where I am now. I’m blessed to go through those struggles so I can appreciate the work I do for others

Magnificent Hands Massage “Every Touch Counts” is truly unique. We provide a mobile massage experience that is brought to you or enjoy coming to our wonderful studio suite. Our massage therapy practice focuses on the individual client’s needs by bringing our custom bodyworks to you by providing door-to-door service to your home, office, and special events.
We address massage therapy needs on that particular day to effectively provide the powerful healing touch of massage. Offering several types of modalities including Swedish Relaxation, Therapeutic, Deep Tissue Therapeutic, Hot Stone, and Chair Massages. We look forward to meeting you and your stressful needs.
We also have a location at 3340 Poplar Ave #306. So whether you want us to come to you, you can come escape on or table.
