Meet Brandy Patton of Divine Enterprises, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Patton.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my journey in the notary industry as a side hustle during a season of transition in my life. At the time, I was a mother focused on creating stability and building something of my own. What began as a way to bring in extra income quickly became something much greater.

I began with general notary work, learning the business from the ground up and showing up consistently for my community. As I gained experience, I expanded my services. With each step, I wasn’t just adding services—I was building a solid, purpose-driven business rooted in excellence and reliability.

Interestingly, real estate was always in the back of my mind as an additional stream of income. However, I chose to start with notary first, and that decision became the foundation for everything. Through loan signings, I was introduced to the real estate process in a hands-on way, which gave me both confidence and clarity on how I wanted to serve people on a larger scale.

Faith has been at the center of my journey. Even in moments of uncertainty, I trusted God to guide my steps, and doors began to open that I couldn’t have planned on my own. What once started as a side hustle evolved into a business with vision and purpose.

Today, I operate multiple streams under my brand, including notary services and real estate. I’m passionate about helping people not only complete important documents, but also guiding them through one of the biggest decisions of their lives—homeownership.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a completely smooth road, but I will say my journey has been guided in a way that kept me grounded, even through the challenges.

One of the biggest struggles for me came with real estate. In 2022, I took the real estate exam during a very difficult season in my life. I had just gone through a major personal transition, and mentally, I wasn’t in the best space. I didn’t pass on my first attempt, and at that time, I chose to step away instead of pushing forward.

However, that wasn’t the end of the story. Three years later, with more clarity, confidence, and stability, I revisited that goal. This time, I passed on my first attempt. That moment meant more than just passing a test—it represented growth, resilience, and trusting God’s timing instead of my own.

On the notary side, the challenge wasn’t necessarily the work itself, but building visibility and credibility. Like any business, getting your name out there takes time, consistency, and patience. There were moments where I had to stay committed even when things felt slow, trusting that what I was building would grow.

Overall, my journey has taught me that even when things don’t happen the first time, it doesn’t mean they won’t happen at all. Timing, faith, and persistence have been key in every step of my path.

As you know, we’re big fans of Divine Enterprises, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Divine Enterprises LLC is the parent company behind two service-based brands: Gracefully Divine Notary Services and Sold by Brandy, my real estate business. Together, they represent a commitment to excellence, service, and helping people move through some of life’s most important moments with confidence and clarity.

Through Gracefully Divine Notary Services, I specialize in general notary work, loan signings, wedding officiant services, I-9 verifications, and fingerprinting. My business is known for professionalism, reliability, and creating a smooth, stress-free experience for clients during important document signings. I pride myself on being dependable, detail-oriented, and available when my community needs me most.

Through my work in real estate as Sold by Brandy, I assist clients with navigating the home buying process with education, guidance, and care. My experience as a notary gave me a strong foundation in loan documents and closings, which naturally transitioned into real estate. I specialize in helping clients understand the process so they feel confident from consultation to closing.

What sets my brand apart is the combination of service, faith, and consistency. I am not just providing a transaction-based service—I am building relationships, offering clarity in complex processes, and showing up with integrity in every interaction. Everything I do is rooted in excellence and guided by faith.

What I am most proud of is the growth from a small side hustle into a structured, purpose-driven business that now includes multiple streams of income. I have built this brand while balancing motherhood, life transitions, and personal growth, and I continue to expand with intention and strategy.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like most about our city is the culture. There’s a strong sense of community here, and I appreciate how music, festivals, and local events bring people together. There’s a certain energy and pride in the city that shows up in how people support each other and celebrate life through gatherings and shared experiences.

What I like least is that, at times, I wish there were even more opportunities for growth and visibility for small businesses and entrepreneurs. I think the talent and potential here are incredible, and I’d love to see even more platforms and resources that help local businesses expand and thrive.
