

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryant Holliday
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started making music when I was about 12-13 years old. Started out making beats and had no one to rap on em so I started doing it myself. Taught myself how to produce, engineer and also shoot or direct music videos. I got to where I’m at today by just staying consistent and never giving up. Investing and believing in yourself can go a long way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It ain’t been smooth at all. One of the main struggles is being from a small town of less than 5,000 people. When you’re from where I’m from, you gotta work a lil harder. Ain’t no luck, ain’t no help. Ain’t nobody that’s gonna invest in you or barely support you. I had to learn the industry and find a way to put my content in front of ppl from all over instead of having a small town mentality.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well simply put, I do music. I make beats, engineer and produce. I’m most known for my songs like “Juice” “Balling Too Hard” and “Usain Bolt” I’m most proud of being able to be an established artist and I just turned 31. Most ppl would have gave up a long time ago. I signed my first deal at 30, yes I would have loved to get discovered earlier in my career but I didn’t kno anything then. I learned the business so it’s a plus now. What sets me apart from others is that I still interact with fans like a normal person. I’m just like you, I just make music and don’t care what ppl think.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I never had a mentor. Everything I kno I learned on my own or learned from trial and error. Use your phone. Every second of the day, ppl are scrolling their phone with their faces glued to it. Soon as ppl wake up, they grab their phone. Market early in the morning and interact with ppl who interact with your product or content. Footwork is a plus too. Meaning get out there and show your face. Once you’ve marketed on socials so much ppl want to start seeing you in action.
