Meet Cameron Donlin of Memphis, TN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Donlin.

Hi Cameron, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a born-and-bred Memphian, and I’m deeply grateful that my work allows me to live at the intersection of connection, creativity, and celebration. I currently serve at ALSAC/St. Jude as Liaison for Collegiate Partnerships, supporting national fraternity and sorority partners Tau Kappa Epsilon and Tri Delta. It’s a privilege to work alongside these organizations, which together raise more than $8.2 million annually on average for St. Jude. Through thoughtful strategy, collaboration, and shared commitment, their fundraising continues to grow. I’m also thankful to have led a cross-functional team of ALSAC leaders in securing Tri Delta’s $100 million recommitment to St. Jude, preserving naming rights to the St. Jude Housing facility, Tri Delta Place—a Memphis landmark and a symbol of what collective generosity can achieve.
Outside of my professional role, the arts remain a constant source of joy. I sing professionally as a Staff Vocalist at Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Midtown Memphis and serve as head choreographer for middle and high school theatrical productions at Lakeland Preparatory School. Creativity isn’t a side project for me—it’s a grounding force.
I also have a deep love for travel and am beginning my journey as a Travel Advisor with 901 Travel Co., helping others create meaningful experiences rooted in inspiration, rest, and celebration around the world.
My foundation was built at the University of Memphis, where I earned degrees in Organizational Leadership and Musical Theatre, with minors in Dance and Social Media Marketing. I was involved in over 20 organizations, am a proud Phi Mu Fraternity member, and was a finalist for Ms. University of Memphis—experiences that shaped my lifelong appreciation for community, advocacy, and the power of showing up fully for others.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my ongoing challenges has been learning what truly fills my cup. For a long time, I poured so much energy into showing up for others that I didn’t always pause to ask what restored me. It took time—and intention—to realize that I feel most grounded and alive in creative spaces and in motion. The artistic work I get to do, paired with the opportunity to travel both through my professional roles and beyond them, has become a source of renewal rather than depletion. That clarity has changed how I protect my time and choose my yeses.
Another challenge has been rebuilding community after college. No one really talks about how quickly your built-in network disperses once that chapter ends. Finding my footing again required vulnerability and effort. I’ve been intentional about seeking connection through Memphis’s Young Professionals Council and by fostering and volunteering with Goldens901 rescue—spaces that have helped me form relationships rooted in shared values, service, and care.
Both of these challenges taught me that fulfillment doesn’t happen by accident. It’s created through curiosity, courage, and the willingness to build a life that feels as good as it looks from the outside.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At the heart of my work is connection between people, purpose, and the moments that matter most.

In my role as Liaison, Collegiate Partnerships at ALSAC/St. Jude, I support national fundraising and relational strategy for headquarters-level relationship management and stewardship. I lead a team of more than 50 representatives stewarding Tri Delta chapters one-on-one, as well as a team of 10 representatives stewarding TKE chapters nationwide. My work spans marketing and PR campaigns, revenue generation, and the strategic leadership of a 400+ person annual seminar that convenes collegiate leaders, volunteers, and partners from across the country.

One of my proudest professional moments has been leading the team that helped secure Tri Delta’s $100 million recommitment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital over 14 years—a milestone built on trust, long-term vision, and shared purpose. I’m also energized by what’s ahead for our work with TKE, and while I can’t share all the details yet, I’m excited about the momentum we’re building and what we have to share next.

Alongside my full-time work, I’m deeply invested in creative and community-centered roles that continue to shape how I lead. As a choreographer with the Lakeland Preparatory School Theatre Department, I’ve focused on strengthening students’ dance technique through hosted classes, a summer intensive, and a more intentional choreography teaching strategy. Watching these students grow—technically and in confidence—has been incredibly rewarding.

I also work as a travel advisor with 901 Travel Co., where I specialize in helping clients celebrate life through travel. My services are complimentary, and what sets my approach apart is that I’m fully present in the joy of the experience alongside my clients. I focus on honeymoons (from all-inclusives to cruises), group travel such as bachelorette trips, family vacations, and corporate travel, as well as destinations like New York City, New Orleans, and Europe. At their core, these trips are about celebration—marking meaningful moments through shared experiences.

Across every role, my work is grounded in the same philosophy: thoughtful strategy, genuine relationships, and creating experiences that leave people better than I found them.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, my plans are rooted less in a fixed destination and more in continued alignment—living a life that blends purpose, creativity, and connection. I hope to keep building work that brings people together, whether through advocacy, leadership, or shared experiences. I’m excited to deepen my impact in the nonprofit space while growing as a leader who values collaboration, gratitude, and community.
Beyond my full-time work, I look forward to growing my role as a Travel Advisor with 901 Travel Co., helping others design meaningful, celebratory experiences that restore, inspire, and create lasting memories around the world. At the same time, I plan to remain deeply engaged in the arts, which continue to energize and ground me. I’ll carry on singing as a Staff Vocalist at Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal Church—including an incredible opportunity to travel in July 2026 to sing for eight days at Wells Cathedral in England—and leading as head choreographer for theatrical productions at Lakeland Preparatory School. These creative outlets remind me of the joy in storytelling and inspire how I show up in every area of life.
Ultimately, my future plans are about growth, presence, and intentionally building a life that leaves every space I enter a little more joyful than I found it.
