Charles W. Reese is a Serial Entrepreneur and serves as the Founder and CEO of Reese Plus Enterprises, Reese Plus Media, LLC, and C. W. Reese Consulting Firm, LLC. Born in Memphis, TN, and raised in Hernando, MS, he is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He has built his brand through social media influencing multiple platforms through inspiration, activism, fashion, and business.
Through his companies Reese Plus Media, LLC and C.W. Reese Consulting Firm, LLC, he has worked with over 200+ brands and businesses by assisting them in creating effective content, providing superior business development strategies, and navigating clients through the new digital world. Charles’ experiences have not only enhanced his expertise but it has also amplified his passion for entrepreneurship and effective marketing and media that propels brands and businesses into success.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t a smooth road for sure. However, I think that’s the part that made me want to continue on it. Being an influencer, the rough parts came in when I was trying to find my identity as a personal brand and how I wanted to be viewed by my followers and other brands.
I didn’t want to limit myself just to fashion. I truly wanted to be a business, lifestyle, and inspirational influencer but the content for fashion was doing way better. I will say that it did stagnate my creativity and passion for continuing because I was so focused on the reactions of everyone else.
Once I realized that it was MY page and the followers and brands are buying into me and not the other way around, I became free and was able to be myself creatively with no reservations.
I’ve been in business since 2020 and I have accepted defeat in finding a smooth road when it comes to building a sustainable business or brand. I’ve learned that the process is the most important part of doing that. My mentality now is “The faster I fail, the faster I can correct, the faster I can find the right answer.” I’m to the point now, where if there is something that seems too smooth, I will vet it longer than I would when I’m up against something that seems impossible.
While being in business and trying to get better as an entrepreneur you have to be intentional about correcting the aspects of your business and personal life that do not line up with your end goals.

I am known for using what I know about the markets that my clients are in to strategize while also being willing to go against the grain. I like results just as much as I appreciate the systems that can consistently bring those results. It’s also indicative of the role I’ve taken in media.
Some consider me a visionary who isn’t a fan of conformity. I aim to be influential and willing to take a risk to make something work. I have the mind and drive to help people achieve what hasn’t been done before. More than a forward thinker, I am a “big picture” doer.
I’m most proud of my ability to pivot while still maintaining my values. Though the industry changes frequently, I find myself holding fast to the foundation of my business, which provides an effective and efficient approach that brings results to my brands and clients.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people who know me or my work would never guess that I am musically inclined. I played drums for my church for 10+ years. I was also on the drum line for my middle school band, the best snare drummer in the history of the world.
I love animals, wild animals, more specifically Dinosaurs. My favorite entertainment brand is the Jurassic Park series. My first career choice that I can remember was wanting to be a paleontologist. I wanted to travel the world, dig for dinosaur bones and make my mark in history.
