Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Robinson.
Hi Denise, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
In a world where everyone desires to be a like someone else, I decided I needed to stand out but for all the good reasons. It all started when I volunteered to decorate one of my church member’s wedding. I decided to try it and found it was more than just a favor. It was my passion! In 2017 I took the leap of faith and dived in head first and BePoshed was born. BePoshed is more than just an event company, It’s a lifestyle! Being Posh is a daily routine that I strive to live each day. When I’m Poshing out my mind is solely focused on my client and the outcome of their event. I put myself in my client’s shoes and ask myself these questions; How can I make this event one of a kind?
What emotions do I want my client to feel when the design is revealed? What can I do that I haven’t already done before?
With the passion for it all BePosh has become more than just a whisper in a conversation with a friend, It’s become a staple in the event community. Our name has been built on a foundation of pride, customer service, integrity, and our clients. We are forever grateful and is always ready to posh out!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
I was raised that nothing in life is given to you, you have to work for it. With my business, I use the same motto. When I started my business trying to get the clientele, promote and build my inventory was a struggle, but with family, friends, faith, and prayer God made everything possible. Did it take time? Yes, of course! Was it all worth it? I wouldn’t have done it any other way. One of my biggest struggles was finding someone to mentor me through the event world. So many people feel their knowledge was their knowledge and could not be shared. After so many no’s, I finally decided that I had to make a change. I am not saying that I am the most knowledgeable about events, but I strive to help anyone who needs it. I wanted to leave a mark that to provide a service, you have to be of service! I strive to help anyone along the way reach their goals and live beyond their wildest dreams. Hey, there’s more in numbers in this event world, and it can be dominated by strong, talented Women and Men if we look beyond the competition.

BePoshed and Company is an event planning company based here in the heart of Memphis, TN. We offer many in-house services such as event planning, decor, day of services (wedding, baby showers, etc.), luxury picnics, customized items of all sorts, treats, community events, and balloon services. We live by our names. We strive to be Poshed in everything that we do. We strive to offer reasonable services that give luxury vibes. What sets BePoshed & Company apart from others is simple, we are versatile! We have a team of awesome small business owners that makes my company strive and allow me to showcase their business by offering all services in-house. We are your one-stop shop! We have photographers, DJs, bakers, caters, security, events halls, cleaning services, and so much more. I am fortunate to have people surrounding me that is eager and open to new opportunities to see our business grow and have a purpose. I always say we are more than events because we are. We recently had our 1st annual back-to-school bash, where we provided 111 students with backpacks and supplies. Seeing the community, fellows, and friends pull together to make this a success made my day. We plan to offer many more community events, so be on the lookout. BePosh & Company is on the move.
