Meet Elisha Roberts-Turner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisha Roberts-Turner.

Hi Elisha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Literally started with a dream in 2016 that terrified me! I remember calling my best friend and telling him about it. I never had intentions of opening a store but the dream was so real and although terrified, it was amazing. I guess I didn’t see God using me the way He’s using me now. Launched to the public in November 2020 and open our storefront on April 5, 2o22.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a learning process! I won’t say it’s been rough because I’m sure I haven’t seen rough yet. God and my supporters have made this journey worth every second.

I would say there was a struggle in the beginning in finding mentors. So many people saw it as a competitive thing rather than a collaborative one.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m simply an artist! I create all things fashion and music. I’m known for both my store (fashion) and music. I’m most proud of me being obedient to what it was that God wanted me to do.

What sets me apart from some… is that I’m comfortable walking in my purpose. I’m quick to help others, even if it means we’re in the same industry for I understand, that what’s for me…. is for me.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Listening and being patient. Don’t rush God. You’ll get what’s yours when it’s time, until then stay still and listen.
