Hi Elita, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Elita and I am 27 years old. As a housewife and mother of a beautiful baby, I dreamed of the day when I would find a way to grow professionally without having to leave my less than a year old baby in the care of someone else, a job from home was my priority, besides not having to I was happy with how my body had turned out after pregnancy.
I ended my pregnancy thinking 172 pounds and those who know me know that I have always been thin so it shocked me greatly to see all the flaccidity and cellulite that I had left after giving birth. In December of last year, Herbalife Nutrition gave me an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up because I had goals and dreams to fulfill.
I put aside the excuses and started working for the company, the first thing that changed was my way of thinking, I began to consume the products that helped me lose those extra kilos that I was stuck with, I began to be a happier mom, stronger, I started to have more energy because I started eating healthy and not skipping any of my meals.
In addition, I began to help other people who also went through the same situation as me and who were not happy where they were, who wanted to take control of their lives and have a healthier life.
The business opportunity, the change that has given me my life in less than three months not only physically but mentally is something for which I give thanks to God every day. I keep working on achieving my goals and now my dream is to help others find themselves physically and mentally healthy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, it has not been an easy road, firstly because there is always the fear of what they will say if I will be strong enough not to let myself be carried away by motivation but by perseverance. Also, friends who followed me for years stopped doing it and you always have the question of why?
But if God puts something in your way, who are you or who are others to doubt? Many times I did not have the strength to get up at night to do the exercises because I was exhausted from the whole day between the house, the husband, and my baby, but I knew deep down that I had to do it if I wanted to achieve those goals.
So I just got up and although at first, it is difficult because one wants to see those results at the moment I did not stop doing it, I did not stop believing in myself. Today, I can say that I have achieved a very beautiful community and physically what I had proposed.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an independent Herbalife Nutrition Distributor. I am dedicated to helping people achieve their physical goals, whether it be losing or increasing muscle mass. I make them their Olán of food, market lists, exercises, and motivation so that they achieve their goals in the shortest period of time possible.
And I like to believe that my clients are also my friends, that is what makes me different, I understand the need to have someone who supports you when others do not and the satisfaction that one feels when one achieves one’s goals even when others gave you the back.
I am a graduate of the National School of Classical Ballet of Cuba, all my life I have dedicated myself to dance, art, to creativity, that is why today I feel more than happy to be able to carry out this new project where I connect the mind with body and bring joy to other people who are also looking for the same goal.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In 5 or 10 years, I planned to have my own Nutrition center where I can sell the products that have helped me and my clients so much. A place where people can sit, talk, and have healthy meals and snacks available.
I feel that the Nutrition industry is getting bigger every day, people are becoming aware of the importance of health, not only how we look on the outside but how we are inside.
