Meet Emma And Tyler Hubbell of Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma And Tyler Hubbell.

Hi Emma and Tyler, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The Hub began as an idea between my husband and I when we first met in 2018. We shared a vision of blending our career passions into one business—one where we could offer the kind of care and service we felt the average, everyday person often doesn’t receive.

That vision became a reality at the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic, while we were living in Sacramento, California. We started The Hub as a way to provide for ourselves and support our community with much-needed health services during a time of crisis. In the beginning, we operated strictly as a mobile and online business.

Like many, the pandemic brought its challenges. We ultimately made the decision to leave California, and long story short—we ended up in Memphis.

We arrived here in January 2021. After getting settled, we relaunched our mobile and online services. That momentum eventually led us to open our first physical location in September 2024.

Now, we’re on a mission to grow and continue making an impact in the Memphis community. We specialize in helping athletes and active adults get out of pain and build health routines—centered around fitness, nutrition, and habits—that support long-term, sustainable wellness.

We don’t believe in acquiring clients with quick fixes or band-aid solutions. We address the root of the problem and share our strategy so they can feel empowered to take their health into your their hands. It is our goal for our clients to no longer need us.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been smooth! The main struggles have just been centered around learning: the in’s and out’s of running a small business, as well as which opportunities are good to say yes to and which are not. As a small business you only have so much free time so time is your most valuable resource.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At The Hub, we specialize in working 1-on-1 with adults who are tired of cookie-cutter solutions and want real progress.

Whether you’re navigating chronic pain, recovering from injury, or just want to move better — we’re here to help you heal, get strong, and stay resilient.

We’re not a typical clinic or a busy gym. Every session is by appointment only and focused entirely on you.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
We love that Memphis is small big city. We are constantly meeting someone who knows someone we know. The tight knit relationships and community-first support is truly special. With that being said, we do miss Northern Calfornia and the proximity to the ocean and mountains. We still visit annually, but we aim to explore more of Tennessee and everything this new home has to offer.

Pricing:

  • Are a premium 1 on 1 service that doens’t take insurance (we do take HSA and FSA). Regardless we always offer a free consultation so we can make sure it is a good fit and we can point you in the right direction.
