Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in Memphis. I come from a big family and am the oldest of four brothers. I was talented enough in school and on the football field to receive an athletic scholarship to Princeton University. Upon graduation from Princeton, I spent the next decade in finance trading commodities, stocks, and bonds. After relocating back to my hometown of Memphis, I couldn’t help but notice the lack of convenient, hassle-free healthcare options for people on-the-go like myself. This problem seemed especially prevalent when it came to preventative services like weight loss, IV hydration, and testosterone therapy. The very therapies that keep people from getting sick were way too hard to access in our town. I thought to myself that Memphis deserves to have a full-service medical clinic offering the latest in healthcare like other big metropolitan areas around the country that I was familiar with. After utilizing the help of local experts and facing a steep learning curve, I opened the doors to the first Pro Health Clinic in March of 2016. We quickly established ourselves as the local experts on IV hydration therapy. In fact, we were the first clinic in Memphis to offer a full menu of IV drips to our patrons. We like to say that we are the alternative for people who are sick and tired of the long waits, inconvenient hours, and poor service experienced at most medical clinics. Patients routinely give us glowing reviews for our quick service, friendly personalities, and professional environment. In alignment with our growth plan, we opened our second clinic in April of 2021 and are in the process of perfecting the operating processes across both locations. Despite the difficulties caused by the covid-19 pandemic, the future is bright for Pro Health Clinic. We believe more people are coming to realize just how important it is to maintain a healthy immune system and that will be of long-term benefit to our type of business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
After experiencing the common headaches, mistakes, and struggles of starting a business from scratch, I ended 2019 on solid ground. It finally seemed like we were reaching our full potential. Finances were good, operations smooth, and marketing successful. Plans were in place to build our second location. In fact, in the quarter leading up to March 2020 (when the covid-19 pandemic struck), we set new records for gross revenue each month. Plus I was a new dad. For the first time since we opened, I finally felt the weight of the world start to come off of my shoulders. Then covid hit. Patients stopped coming into the clinic almost immediately. Our revenue plummeted overnight. We lost valuable employees and went from feeling good and setting records to fighting for our survival month to month. It has been a very difficult road back and we are frankly still in the midst of recovering from such a damaging episode. Our expansion plans were delayed for a year, but in April 2021, we did open our second location with the hope and optimism that things are starting to get back on the right track again in Memphis. If we can survive the wounds inflicted by covid, then we feel confident we can survive just about anything that might come our way!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

The membership program is what sets us apart from a traditional, insurance-based medical clinic. We believe that it allows for a higher level of care and better patient outcomes in the long run.
What matters most to you?
The most important thing to me is to create positive patient experiences. I want people to leave Pro Health exclaiming how quick and easy everything was, how friendly the staff was, and how you felt like someone actually listened to you and genuinely wanted to help. From the initial visit, to phone calls, emails, online appointment setting, and follow-up trips into the clinic, I want each time we interact with the patient to be all about delivering on this exceptional patient experience. The lifeblood of a small independent medical clinic is patient referrals and the best way for us to generate more patient referrals is to do an amazing job for our existing patients.
