Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
2:22 Fashion RX is a fashion pharmacy. I like to refer to it as a fashion pharmacy instead of a fashion boutique because fashion can also be healing like medicine. Fashion has always been something I have been truly passionate about. After working and growing fashion retailers for over 8 years I decided to branch out and start my own.
With all the tools I had learned over the past 8 years such as customer service, operations, marketing, visuals, etc. I felt as if I was ready to branch out on my own. At 2:22 Fashion RX, we like to cater to middle-aged women whose wardrobe looks a little more relaxed, mom day out with the kids, date night with their significant other, girls night out, etc. I learned by being a middle-aged woman myself that the wardrobe transition from your early 20s to your late 20s and 30s is difficult. You enter the corporate world and start going out less than before.
Therefore, we carry the latest fashion trends, shoes, and accessories that make sense for those women. Our motto is prescribing and fulfilling your fashion needs. 2:22 are my angel numbers and after battling with the decision of starting a business or not, I constantly saw these three numbers in sequences. After researching what does it mean to see 2:22 constantly, I discovered it meant to create new beginnings and expand your inner self.
So that is what 2:22 means in 2:22 Fashion RX creates new beginnings. Every time you add a new piece to your wardrobe a new beginning is created. I am constantly working on growing my business as well as myself. My overall goal is to have a positive influence on others through my business as well as my personal life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but anything worth having is worth working hard for.
I’ve faced many obstacles such as having to learn how to correctly and legally operate a business, learning self-discipline and self-motivation, doing a complete rebrand (which felt like completely starting over), and learning that the people who you expect to be rooting for you the most sometimes won’t.
My faith and God and me learning to embrace the people I do have in my corner is what has helped me deal with these obstacles. I always remind myself delayed does not mean denied.
As you know, we’re big fans of 2:22 Fashion RX. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The thing that sets us apart from others is our marketing. I thoroughly enjoy having a creative space when it comes to creating marketing campaigns for my business. Content and consistency are key. It’s something that keeps me on my toes and challenges me.
Also, since we consider ourselves a fashion pharmacy rather than a boutique we have a lot of customers who feel comfortable sharing their stories with us. We receive so many stories from customers who say how much better they feel after they received a product. Some of these women are on weight loss journeys, newly divorced, new mothers, and they want a new wardrobe to match their new self-esteem.
We take pride in being able to offer fashion trends to boost women’s self-esteem. Our customer service also sets us apart from other companies. What’s a business without customers? We truly believe in taking care of the people who take care of us.
