Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffry Pavon.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I would love to say. It all started when I was only about eight years old or so. My parents got me involved with tv commercials. At first, I wasn’t into it at all. I hated wearing all these crazy amounts of clothing. It almost felt like I was going to church most time. I just wanted to be a normal kid and do what normal kids did my age and that was to enjoy my youth as a kid and play outside til no more lights were on.
By the time I was in middle school, my mentality to become an artist or part of the entertainment industry was long gone. All I knew back in middle school was Football and more football. By the time I was 18 in 2011, I applied as a Male dancer for this ladies club. At the time the strip club was named GoodFellas. I started as a dancer. Boy, my life did a drastic change!! I felt good and confident.
I was doing great money and partying and god the babes were out of control every day, but yet the idea of wanting to continue on with the entertainment industry was coming back into play, but I didn’t pay it any mind to it. A couple of years later the club gets bought out by “La bares. This got crazier than I could ever imagine. A producer from Telemundo came to the strip club for her divorce party one night.
I was assigned to her and go do my part of the show as her performance that night, So I got her on stage. I did my show as well as my dancing routings. At the end of the night. I’ll never forget it like it wasn’t so long ago. She come up to me and said. You’re a superstar! Young good looking great dancer very nice and smooth body so much sex appeal great stage presence. She hands me her business card and she says…
I work for Telemundo as a Producer, this is my business card use it. She replied You have amazing talent, don’t go to sleep on it, but I never called. I just Continued dancing. 2 yrs later I grow the courage. I called her and two weeks from then I got a call back to be on set for a Novela. From that moment on now at 23, I was more determined than ever. I knew that I wanted to be an Actor. I kept going steady.
Did lots of Novela, but at this point, I knew I wanted to be more than just a simple background talent. And now to this day, I have reached a point in my career path, where I know I have been in many TV shows plenty of music videos many movies with lots big named Actors. Nowadays in my present moment. I’m so much further deep into the entertainment industry than I’d ever imagined in my life.
I’ve been in such projects as a step-up revolution, and Ride-on part 2. Pain and gain. Magic city, Bad boys for life, etc. I have accomplished what I thought I never could. Today my struggle my work ethics my connections and my work resume say otherwise. I’m proud to say that today at 35 years of age, my Acting Career has finally taken off and rising to higher levels.
Patience, a bit of faith a beautiful humble heart, and plenty of determination can get you along the way, yet this is only the start and beginning of my acting career. There’s a lot more work to be done the show isn’t over just yet. I’m learning Growing and Evolving.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road? At the beginning of every road, all roads have been hard for everyone I believe. The only reason It was hard for me was only because of the lack of communication and connections. I had to go through a lot of Nos! More than a thousand times. No callbacks for casting. No good pictures. No good agents to represent you or to help. I was doing my best to not get discouraged.
One of my biggest struggles and setbacks along the way was drugs especially “cocaine.” I went broke. Lost my money all respect all my connections so fast! I ended up on the streets for two years homeless. Then put into rehab. Yeah, I was lost out of sight and mind with everything and everyone, but still, something inside me wasn’t happy about my path in life. This wasn’t where I was supposed to be! How did I get here !? Why did I fall this deep into the rabbit hole?! How do I get out?! Where do I start?!
Thankfully I got my shit together. And never had to look back at any of those struggles again. God saved me from losing myself for myself. Age money trust and belief in someone’s words hoping they aren’t selling a fantasy are the biggest struggles in the entertainment industry, but if I can do it you can do it. The sky is the limit. Don’t me wrong I still struggle, but I am in control of my struggles.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an actor based out of MIAMI Florida. I specialize in Acting. I love to bring and create characters to life. Playing or creating different roles takes me so deep into what I have a passion for its not easy, but it’s not hard either. The feelings from past experiences and painful memories of my huge failures In Life all those no’s are why I’m still here standing by the grace of God to tell my story.
I’m known for many of my Acting roles in plenty of Tv shows, music videos, and a couple of short films. What am I most proud about? I’m most proud about how I reached a certain level in my career and that I no longer am that old dead Jeffry. What sets me apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is my hunger my struggles my pain and my determination to be the best actor all around that though my pain I can deliver the best role a director can ask of me and execute it.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Many risks have been taken to get here. One of the risks is believing in yourself when no one really does believe in you or accepts you in this career path.
It’s a very challenging one with plenty of competition. I’m a risk-taker and if you’re not taking risks in life daily you aren’t growing.
