Meet Jeremy Wooten of Wooten Financial Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Wooten.

Hi Jeremy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The unique part of my story isn’t where I am now but where I came from. I was born here in Memphis, Tennessee.

My parents are both from walker’s home. Due to certain circumstances, I was given up for adoption. During my childhood, I was raised in a foster home with my adopted parents which means I have adopted siblings and they raised foster kids throughout the years. I believe just this part of my life shaped me to be hard-working and an endless grinder. Whether it was playing basketball or school work I always went hard because I always felt like I had a disadvantage or had to prove people wrong. I learned later in life the only person you have to prove something to is the person looking back at you in the mirror. 2014 I was reunited with my biological parents and from that point, I felt like it was time for a new chapter in life. Memphis holds a special place in my heart because Memphis made me. I am a product of Memphis.

I have been an entrepreneur since 2018. I started out as a life insurance agent helping run a small team of agents.

After 2 years of service, I decided I wanted to explore my options and I entered the credit industry. The credit industry has changed and has opened countless doors and built many partnerships throughout the city. My goal is to become the number 1 credit repair/financial literacy program in Memphis.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Entrepreneurship always comes with its up and downs. It’s the process of understanding you must be comfortable with self-development and always enhancing your social skills. Coming from a background in sports, my journey was smoother than the average individual, I would believe.

The struggles I faced were more about finding the right mentor in business than the growth of my business. The right mentor is key because you have to study underneath somebody you can learn from and you feel comfortable knowing they will help you succeed.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We provide financial literacy classes, credit repair, and business coaching.

What sets my company apart from others, I believe is our great customer service. I am most proud of the results my brand is able to provide to the community. I want my readers to know that Wooten Financial Group treats every client as family and we work every day to insure our clients receive the results that they deserve.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Mentors are needed.

Having a mentor can be the missing link that is needed for you to have the level of success that you dreamt of.

Networking is how you grow your business. Mentors and networking both have grown my business drastically over the last two years. What matters most to me is to be able to educate and help families financially.
