Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly (right) and Kashayla (left).
Hi Kimberly and Kashayla, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are two sisters who dreamed of starting our own business. We fell in love with making handmade products, event planning, and healthy living thus birthing our brands: Sweet Dreams Self Care Products, Klassic Events, and Dream Team Health & Wellness.
Sweet Dreams offers handmade vegan body scrubs, body butters, lip scrubs, lip balms, foot soak, foot scrub, foot cream, beard conditioner, and beard oil.
Klassic Events is our event planning service where we offer everything from consulting to planning and coordinating to decorating.
Dream Team Health & Wellness is a growing brand that currently offers CBD products.
We are moms who work full-time jobs while building our empire, and we want to encourage others to do the same (build an empire, that is). We are The Dream Katchers.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
We have come across many struggles in this journey, which range from finding the right ingredients, mentors, determining prices, to trusting the process. These challenges have made our brand stronger and as a result, we are able to deliver quality products and services.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Outside of our three businesses, we have professional careers that we are passionate about. My sister, Kashayla, is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care. She provides direct care to patients through virtual visits. She’s most proud that she has a platform to educate and inspire others.
I am a Special Education teacher. I fell in love with watching students learn and grow while I was a teacher’s assistant. Being able to help students grow is such a rewarding experience, it is what I’m most proud of.
Although we have three unique businesses and careers, there is only one mission, which is to help, inspire, and edify others.
We tie everything back to our mission and we keep God at the center. What sets us apart is our sisterly bond, work ethic, relatability, genuineness, humility, and commitment to our purpose.
What makes you happy?
Our joy and happiness are directly related to our relationship with God, our happy and peaceful home, family, and friends. They make a difference in our lives.
