Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Tyszka
Hi Maria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A shop that provides organic herbs, European Teas, Organic Oils, Cold Processed Soaps, Incenses, Crystals, and more. We opened August 1st 2021 and started at 48 S. McLean and moved near Overton Square October 2023.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It devastated us to have to move from our initial location after the property was purchased by a local realtor who decided to no longer lease to us due to his plans to build a nursing home. We had no place to go. By the grace of God, someone came to us a few weeks before our closing date to let us know that they had a spot that we might be interested in. I asked his where it was and he said in front of Maggie”s Farm. I said if no, I don’t think that would work due to their having some in the same products. He said Burger King and Wendy’s … some people like Burger King some like Wendy’s! Some will go to both. Plus the set up is totally different. You will do just fine!

Maria is a Certified Herbalist, Master Reiki Practitioner, Sound Healing Professional and the Owner of Lucyja Hygge. I am proud to provide a space of healing, peace, and zen to all that visit the shop. We are known for burning incense outside throughout the day and for offering services, workshops and classes for those interested in yoga, herbs, BreathWork Meditation and More.
