Today we’d like to introduce you to Minnassa Gabon.
Hi Minnassa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story is a journey of deconstruction, self-love, and embodying my gifts. My name is Minnassa Gabon and I am the C.E.O. of Tarot Living with Minnassa (a subsidiary of Minnassa, Inc.). Tarot Living with Minnassa is a one stop shop to meet all your Divination needs: card readings, classes, coaching, and chi healing (aka Reiki). I use these divination tools to support, inspire, motivate, and guide you along your life path.
The beginning is that I have always sort had a gift for inspiring and guiding people. I took this skillset and became a seminary trained ordained Methodist minister. I loved working with the people, unfortunately, I did not like the structure and the day to day of the church business. Following some toxic happenings in my denomination, I eventually walked away from the traditional church and began my journey of deconstructing the myths of the Church. Myths like I was born into sin and needed someone outside of myself to save me. 2. God/The Divine is an entity outside of me and can be a bit bi-polar (loving one day/smiting the next).
As I released the fear based beliefs and walked toward the Divinity within by incorporating New Thought Philosophy into my life, I was finally able to love myself holistically. Well, my gifts (teaching, preaching, inspiring, and guiding) began calling my attention to return to being of service in the world. I began looking into pre-Christian ways of ministry and embodying the Divine; a “coincidental” meeting gave me the chance to use my divination skills and here I am today; the owner of a divination business..
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a smooth road in that I have the support of my wife and daughter as I have developed my divination gifts and this business. The real obstacles are people’s fears regarding tarot cards and other divination tools. I think what helped create this fear is the portrayal in the media of psychics and divination. Most of those practitioners are portrayed as smarmy criminals lying to people to take their money and/or in league with some evil entity that is trying to rob you of your free will. These extremes unfortunately probably do exist. However, the center is filled with with people like me (a Lightworker) who is using their gifts to help women and men connect with their true self and live a life of purpose and joy.
The second obstacle is that we are trained to give our power away and live as powerless victims of circumstances. So most people come to me for a tarot reading when circumstances are awful, bleak, etc. Everyone wants a love reading after a break up. I say before you start the relationship, get a love reading; to see the places where there is a need for releasing unhealthy ways of being & modes of communication, get in counsel with your Higher Self and Guides and see how you can bring your best self to the relationship, etc. No folks don’t want readings when they feel all in control, however, that is the best time!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I want to dispel the myth/idea that divination is about telling your fortune/future!!!! There is forward looking aspect to a tarot reading, however, my paradigm is that we are creating our future by our thoughts, conversations, actions, and interactions. Most of these are done unconsciously and disconnected from your Higher Purpose (which I believe is living a life of fulfillment and joy). We each have a great energetic support team that surrounds us to help us evolve, ascend, heal, and reveal our greater yet to be. My gift is to help my clients connect with/hear from/pass messages with this great team.
What sets my business apart is that I use divination tools to empower people to create and live their best life.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk is the spice of life. If you have not taken a risk are you living?
I took a risk with creating my business. I had to learn quickly about incorporating a business, using Social Media, advertising, websites, etc. I used a quote by the great motivational speaker Les Brown as my foundation: “start before you’re ready”.
My wife and I moved here to TN without any family or friends here.
I took a risk becoming and ordained minister (church’s are male dominated and very patriarchal) and I took a risk when I left traditional church ministry.
I will say (tongue in cheek) I take a risk every day I get on the interstate – these Southern drivers……
