Meet Paul Perry of Purethirteen Tattoo Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Perry.

Hi Paul, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Straight out of high school I had a passion for tattoos and creating art.it did not come easily by no means. I finally landed a tattooing gig and my entrepreneur tendencies led me to where I am today.

Then working a regular job nearly 60 hours a week all while pursuing my passion for a tattoo. There were many nights where I would work through the night and I would go straight to my day job, it was hell but I pushed through.

Then I unexpectedly became a 19-year-old business owner, I was scared as hell but I pushed forward and kept my main goals in sight. Fast forward today and we are 4 studios in and 38 employees.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not smooth at all there were ups and downs for many years, between friendships ending over what’s best for the business, late nights, and long hours to make ends meet.

Trying times and covid nearly taking away 20 years of hard work in a couple of months’ time.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was more of the quiet type, a little shy for the most part I loved to make art anything that had to do with art I was all in. I would like to say I was likable I opened up once I got to know you.
