Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Bélanger-Leduc.
Hi Sam, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am born to the field of art as a photographer. Funny enough, I first hated photography in school and on my own I found not only a way to express my creativity but a way to see the world as a fundamentally creative individual. I create, because I need to, it is my vocation. Art is my way to feel alive. Now that I am a full-time student at the University, I started to explore more medias, like 3d modelling and digital arts in general, and a bit of performance here and there through the lens of hermeticism and esotericism.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road, because I went through a couple of darker sequences. I was left to myself by my family at 18 years old, with no financial support and had a lot of economic issues, but I always perseverated.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a multimedia visual artist whose praxis is turned towards the field of deep philosophical interrogations. I work principally as a photographer and a digital drawer doubled with a 3d modeler. I am questioning the universe through the philosophical lenses of hermeticism and esotericism.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My girlfriend deserves all my respect
