Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelby Harris.

Hi Shelby, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’m Shelby Harris, a licensed Tennessee Realtor servicing the Greater Memphis Area. My journey toward real estate has been long but fulfilling. I’ve always worked social jobs, whether retail or business-to-business sales, and I’ve always had a niche for interacting with new people. Further, into my career, I found myself in a 9-5 corporate position and slowly noticed that my social aspect of myself was depleting. It was tough to recognize how drained I’d become, so I would attempt to fix the issue by working harder and shaking it off. However, the start of the pandemic changed my whole perspective on life. I, like many others, had some serious time to reflect on my standings and decide where and who I wanted to be. This alone time and decision-making truly changed me as a person. I witnessed how precious life was, allowing me to go after exactly what I wanted, no matter the cost. Leaving corporate America and working odd jobs to starting my real estate business was no easy task, but I’d do it again and again if needed. I’m proud to say that I have the opportunity to work on my purpose every day!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve been completely blessed in my experience, and I’m thankful for that. Real Estate is no easy business to jump into! While my path has not been smooth, I’ve learned much through every struggle. Starting your business in one of the most volatile historical markets is scary. However, I focus on a positive mindset and ensure I understand my “why” daily. My “why” gets me out of bed every morning, I want to get people in homes, and that’s exactly what I do! This mindset keeps me operating with integrity, and when you focus on positivity and integrity, the rest will come!

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I help you buy and sell houses! I specialize in being results oriented with my clients. I’m always transparent and direct. When my clients make a big decision, I take it to heart. Therefore I’m constantly ensuring they receive the best service from me and anyone I recommend. I’m proud that selling homes is more than a transaction to me; it’s such a memorable life experience for many that I have the opportunity to witness. There are many realtors, so I ensure I’m giving my best and always learning better ways to assist my clientele. Even at my proudest moments, I know I’m only getting better!
