Today we’d like to introduce you to Tavares Lee.
Hi Tavares, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I consider myself incredibly lucky to be doing what I do. Photography has been a part of my life around 2020, so for 2 years now.
I got my first camera and I watch and learn how to use it on YouTube watching photography tutorials on YouTube helped me learn even more. I kept learning and practicing, I took my camera with me daily and did some basic photography.
As I got more comfortable with the camera. I knew I wanted to do more. I saved and got myself a newer camera.
Last year, I learned how to shoot in manual and studio set by DeMarris Manns and Antoine Lever in their photography class. Forever thankful for that opportunity. Ultimately, my goal is to have my own studio, but right now, I’m enjoying my photography journey! I’ve been having fun, seriously.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This has been a road. I have a few people that believe in me.
But, it’s hard at times and I question why am I doing what I do. From time to time dealing with the feeling of “not good enough” is always there waiting to make you question your decision too.
The ugly side of photography professionally is having your phone ringing like crazy one week to not ringing at all the next. Is making $2000 one week and $300 the next. It’s being excited one week and nervous as hell the next.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am passionate about providing quality work to those in need.
I specialize in all different types of photography. I love just being a shooter. I really enjoy it when I see my clients satisfied after seeing the photographs, making all the effort worth it.
I’m proud of myself for continuing to push forward. When I wanted to give up. And what sets me apart from others is I’M SILVERBACK the one and only.
