Meet Taylor Waller of Memphis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Waller.

Hi Taylor, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Taylor Waller, and I was born and raised right here in Memphis! I first picked up a camera as a stay-at-home mom, just looking for something to do. Little did I know that simple hobby would ignite a passion that turned into a career.

When I decided to purchase a camera, I immediately looked to some local Facebook groups for any guidance or tips. Casey Kelly reached out to me almost instantly and has been a mentor and friend to me since. My photography journey has been built on moments of people taking a chance on a girl with a dream. Every opportunity, every shoot, and every connection has shaped me into the photographer I am today.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of those who have believed in me along the way. Their encouragement has pushed me to chase my passion and turn it into something greater than I ever imagined!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I personally don’t believe that anything worth pursuing will ever be easy. Obstacles are what help define us and shape us into who we are today. The largest challenge I face daily is believing in myself. I often times feel as if I don’t deserve to be where I’m at in my career because I have only been in the industry for 7 months. I also tend to allow my perfectionism to get in the way of truly just appreciating the work that I produce. I’m learning each day to simply believe in myself and my capabilities, and that has been a beautiful journey.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Fueled by a passion for cars and motorcycles, and a love for photography, I specialize in capturing the beauty, power, and personality of these machines. Whether it’s a high-performance supercar, a meticulously restored classic, or a custom-built masterpiece, I bring each vehicle to life through dynamic and visually striking imagery. With an eye for detail and an understanding of automotive design, I strive to create photos that highlight the craftsmanship and emotion behind every car. My work blends creativity with technical precision, ensuring that each shot tells a story—whether for brands, dealerships, collectors, or enthusiasts.

Some of my favorite sessions include shooting a 720S McLaren and a BMW G80 M3 for Wet Whips Detailing, capturing their sleek details and raw power. Another career highlight was being part of the media team for TX2K25, where I had the incredible opportunity to bring Memphis talent to one of the biggest stages in the drag racing industry. I’m excited to build a name for myself and bring new energy to the Memphis car scene through creative expression. My goal is to showcase the beauty of this city and the people in it, to remind the world just how incredible Memphis truly is.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
One of my favorite things about Memphis is its incredible diversity—whether in culture, activities, or the people who make this city so unique. There’s always something new to experience, and that energy fuels my creativity behind the camera.

One thing I dislike is the lack of resources for the racing scene. We once had multiple tracks and legal spots to race, but over time, they’ve all been shut down. It’s frustrating to see a passionate community left without proper outlets to enjoy the sport safely.
