Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Harts II.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello! I’m an artist based out of Memphis, TN, I go by the name “HartbreakTone “ and I’m 26 years old. My artist name pretty much comes from my name, Tony Harts II. Growing up, my friends always called me Tone. My last name is Harts so that is where “Hartbreak” comes from. I began doing music in my senior year of college at Mississippi State University in 2019. My friend Kam linked me up with a friend who was doing music at the time named Riq and the “rest was history” as they say.
I stopped making music for about two years and I regained my passion in 2022. I worked for the Memphis Fire Department, yes, I was a fireman for about 2 years, and one day, I decided to give myself a shot at my dream and I stepped out on faith. I made my first song to return to the music industry in Jan. 2022 and shot my first music video in June 2022 and released it in August 2022. On January 5, 2023, I release my first solo project named “TONE “ and on June 2, 2023, I released my second project “Love Tone”.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has most definitely been a journey no it has not been a smooth road. There are some lows and highs people don’t understand how expensive chasing a dream can be but, the result will be well worth it.
I feel like a struggle I dealt with was finding the courage to begin doing music again when you think about it, you’re putting yourself out in front of the world in a different way and you’re pretty much expressing yourself in your way through your art.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an upcoming recording artist. I love to rap and sing. I’m most proud of the fact that I began doing music and knowing that I’ve finally found my passion and also my work ethic.
I feel like the thing that sets me apart from others is my versatility and my love for the game I feel like at the moment I’m pretty much known for my melodic sounds and my flows. I also record my songs and other artists’ songs.
What matters most to you?
Family matters to me most because at the end of the day, no matter how any of this turns out my family has my back, and my family will always love me.
