Today we’d like to introduce you to Yori Latiker
Hi Yori, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began doing nails in my dorm at Tennessee State University in 2017, I was honestly looking for a way to earn money without having to leave my dorm as a freshman in college. It started as me doing my own nails and then word spread on my hall and throughout the campus. I also used to do pedicures on family members when I was younger and practice designs on their toes. Nails was the first hobby I wroked hard in to better understand the craft. I took my first class in 2018 and invested in my craft and the rest was history.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would not say it has been a smooth path, however, anything worth having is worth fighting for. In this industry, you have to practice professionalism and excellent customer service skills and always stay educated in your field. I will say it is my passion so I accept all of the highs and lows that come with this profession.

I am Yori Latiker, the owner and creator of Nails by Xené, Nail Co. I have been doing nails for almost 7 years now, I specialize in natural nail care and nail enhancements. You can say I am known for my gel manicures and toenail transformation services. I am most proud of my work ethic and professionalism. I am located in Andy’s Barber Style Shop, in which I offer a variety of luxury nail services.

As much as my clients enjoy my pedicure services and toenail transformations, once upon a time I would not touch anyone’s feet. However, with experience and proper training at The Black Pearl Nail Academy, It is now one of my most booked services.
