Meet Zariah Zoe Nolan of Venerable Design Haus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zariah Zoe Nolan

Hi Zariah Zoe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into digital marketing is actually a story of adaptability and finding opportunity in unexpected places. I graduated with a psychology degree at the height of COVID-19, which completely transformed how I viewed career possibilities. While many might have seen the global shutdown as a roadblock, I saw it as a signal to pivot towards a future-proof career path.
The pandemic made one thing crystal clear: digital presence was no longer optional for businesses – it was essential. This realization, combined with my psychology background, led me to pursue UX certification. What started as a strategic career move turned into a genuine passion as I discovered the fascinating intersection of website design, color theory, and sales psychology. This unique blend eventually became the foundation of Venerable Design Haus, which I officially launched in May 2023.
My journey really began in summer 2022, when I started exploring how my psychology background could enhance digital marketing. What sets my approach apart is what I call ‘visibility design strategy’ – a combination of SEO, content strategy, and visual design, all informed by psychological principles. It’s about creating not just beautiful websites, but strategic digital spaces that convert visitors into clients.
The path hasn’t been without its challenges. As a solopreneur, I had to learn to price my services to reflect their true value, master the art of sales psychology, and perhaps most importantly, step out of my comfort zone to embrace radical authenticity in my business approach. My faith and commitment to integrity have been my anchors throughout this journey.
What started as a response to uncertainty has evolved into a thriving business. In my first year, I achieved $20,000 in revenue, and secured a corporate client with UTHSC – a major milestone for a solo business owner. Today, as CEO and Visibility Design Strategist, I help businesses create meaningful digital presences that truly connect with their audiences.
Looking back, what seemed like a detour from my original plans turned out to be exactly where I needed to be. It’s amazing how combining my psychology background with digital marketing expertise has created a unique service that helps businesses thrive in the digital age.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The entrepreneurial path is rarely smooth, and my journey has been marked by both professional and deeply personal challenges. One of the most significant personal losses I faced was the passing of my grandmother, Mem, in November 2023. This profound loss affected not just me but my entire family, and learning to navigate grief while maintaining a business tested my resilience in ways I hadn’t anticipated.
There’s also the psychological weight of what I call the ‘parallel path syndrome’ – watching college friends and family members pursue traditional careers and additional degrees while I was building my business from the ground up. That FOMO (fear of missing out) was real, and I had to constantly remind myself that I was creating something meaningful, even if it looked different from others’ paths.
The technical learning curve was steep. While I quickly adapted to SEO – even technical SEO became second nature – mastering coding was a different story, which ultimately led me to focus on front-end design. Learning Adobe as a beginner was particularly challenging, but after investing over 500 hours in practicing and experimenting with effects and tools, I’ve developed a proficiency I’m proud of.
The financial uncertainty of entrepreneurship hit hard, especially during seasons with no income. There were moments that truly tested my resolve – like not being able to buy my mom birthday or Christmas gifts – where I felt like I was failing. But my mom’s unwavering faith in me, combined with my own determination, kept me going even through those tough times.
Managing self-doubt and overcoming self-sabotage were perhaps my biggest internal battles. I had to shake off a state of complacency to truly prosper. This meant creating a structured approach to work-life balance that worked for my natural rhythms – I’ve always been someone who thrives working into the early hours, deeply absorbing new concepts and staying ahead of the curve. I learned to create specific spaces for work, play, and rest, while maintaining habits that kept me both happy and healthy.
Financial challenges were real too. Living off savings during the startup phase was nerve-wracking, and when those funds started running low, I had moments of panic. But these challenges taught me valuable lessons about resilience and resource management.
Looking back, each struggle has contributed to both my personal growth and the strength of my business. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of what it truly takes to build something meaningful from the ground up, and they’ve shaped how I approach helping my clients navigate their own visibility journeys

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The digital marketing ecosystem is undergoing fascinating shifts, and the next 5-10 years promise even more dramatic transformation. One of the most compelling trends I’m observing is a significant pivot in consumer trust – there’s a growing preference for solopreneurs and small businesses over larger corporations. This shift is creating an unprecedented opportunity for authentic, individual-led businesses to capture market share through strategic digital presence.
The acceleration of AI in our industry is creating what I call a ‘digital authenticity paradox.’ Others are calling it ‘data provenance’. While AI tools are making content creation and marketing processes more efficient than ever, there’s an increasing demand for genuine human connection and authentic presence. This is where the future becomes particularly interesting – success will lie in the ability to leverage AI tools while maintaining unmistakably human authenticity.

I anticipate several key developments:

1. Psychology-Driven Marketing Will Dominate
– Color psychology and sales psychology will become fundamental skills rather than optional specialties
– Understanding human behavior and decision-making processes will be crucial for standing out in an AI-enhanced landscape
– The ability to create genuine emotional connections through digital channels will become more valuable

2. AI Integration Will Continue to Redefine Strategy
– AI will evolve from a support tool to an integral part of digital presence strategy
– Platforms like ChatGPT, Claude.AI, and OpusClips will become essential for content creation, marketing, and search engine optimization
– The key differentiator will be how strategically these tools are used to enhance rather than replace human creativity

3. Lead Generation Will Transform
– The timeline for presenting services and content will continue to compress
– Businesses will need more sophisticated, psychology-backed approaches to lead generation
– Platform-specific strategies will become more crucial as digital spaces evolve

4. Authenticity Will Become a Premium Skill
– The courage to show up with radical authenticity will become a major competitive advantage
– Pure intentions, passion, and integrity will be key differentiators in a highly automated world
– The ability to maintain genuine human connection while leveraging AI will be crucial

5. Technical Skills Will Evolve
– SEO will continue to be crucial but will require more sophisticated, AI-aware approaches to adapt
– Design tools like Affinity Designer in conjunction with Canva will become more powerful and essential as subscription models continue to decline
– The integration of multiple platforms and tools will require more strategic thinking

The most successful digital marketers in this evolving industry will be those who can master the delicate balance between technological efficiency and human connection. The future isn’t just about being visible – it’s about being authentically visible in an increasingly AI-enhanced world.
For businesses and entrepreneurs, this means investing in both technical skills and emotional intelligence. The winners in this new era will be those who can harness AI and automation while maintaining the human elements that create true connection and trust with their audience.
What excites me most about these changes is that they validate what I’ve always believed: authentic, strategic visibility combined with genuine human connection is the future of digital marketing. The tools may change, but the fundamental need for real human connection in business will only grow stronger.
