Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Boscaccy.
Hi Danielle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started when I fell in love with my husband, and we got married ourselves, but honestly, even before that, as a young girl dreaming about her wedding day. After our wedding, I didn’t want to give up my love for the wedding process, but I was starting school for a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. However, this was the perfect opportunity to pick up a camera and take photos on the weekends when I wasn’t in school. I borrowed my father-in-law’s camera, and I never put it down. I quickly fell in love with documenting the relationships and love between couples and families. I was asked to do a close friend’s wedding, and after that wedding, the wedding kept going. To say I found what I loved to do is an understatement. Every day that I get to wake up and do this job, I find myself in awe that I am not dreaming and this is my reality. With several years under our belt, we now offer photography and videography services! We love documenting the love between people and their families and feel honored to do so.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been relatively smooth?
Anything you start from the ground up is always challenging, especially when you are a new creative. It is so easy to fall into the trap of feeling like you or your work is not enough or good enough, but that’s the thing I have learned: it is your work. Being creative and documenting people’s love through your lens is an important job, but it’s just that – you are documenting the real and raw of people’s lives from your perspective. It’s an art, and I am honored to have the opportunity to do it.

I am a Memphis creative who loves documenting the love between people, whether couples or families. I love capturing honest, raw, and candid moments between people. It truly is getting to encapsulate a moment in time.
Have you learned any exciting or essential lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
Honestly, not to take any moment for granted. I now know the importance of being present in a moment and not taking them for granted.
