Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Mazzaro
Hi Joseph, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Tyumen, Russia and left in an orphanage. My parents adopted me when I was 10 months old. I am so grateful to them for giving me so many opportunities. When I first attended college, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do with my life. Sophomore year was when i realized i loved making music and making beats. I wanted to share my creations with the world so I decided to pursue a music degree. I created my own brand, Mazz music, and it just took off from there.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a very long, hard road. I have been making music for 9 years now and I am still persevering in order to make it big in the industry. I work on my music morning, noon, and night. I know my hard work will pay off one day.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am most known for making dark beats. I specialize in Future and Lil Double 0 type beats. I have taught myself a variety of programs and have shared my beats on many platforms. I have recently hit 51,000 followers on BeatStars which I am extremely proud of. I believe my work ethic sets me apart from others. I never give up no matter how hard things get. I am always working on my brand.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Put yourself out there. Do not be afraid to try new things and especially things you might not be comfortable with. Take chances. Talk to people. Connect on social media.
