Today we’d like to introduce you to Queela Graham.
Hi Queela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My creative journey really began with my deep love for food—eating it, experiencing it, and capturing it. I’ve always been fascinated by the visual side of food—the textures, the colors, the way a dish tells a story before you even take the first bite. That passion eventually led me to pick up a camera and start documenting the meals I made or ordered, not just for memory, but for art.
In 2020, I launched my blog QueDaVeggie as a creative outlet. At the time, it was more focused on food and recipes, but over the years it’s grown with me. I’ve become more intentional about food photography and have also leaned more into gardening, which has become another source of peace, inspiration, and connection to the meals I create.
These days, I use my blog and photography as a way to highlight the beauty of food—especially how it looks and makes us feel. I’m still evolving and finding my rhythm, but I know that I’m most inspired when I’m behind the camera capturing vibrant dishes or out in the garden nurturing the ingredients that may one day make it to the plate. Gardening has deepened my connection to food in such a peaceful, grounding way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part, it’s been a steady but quiet journey. I wouldn’t call it a bumpy road, but I have faced the common creative challenge of figuring out how to find and connect with the right audience. I love taking photos and sharing them, but promotion and marketing can be challenging. It can be tough trying to stand out online, especially when you’re not focused on trends. I’m still learning how to balance the creative side of what I do with the practical side of growing a presence—but I’m taking it one step at a time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
By day, I work in Higher Education as a Human Resources Consultant at a local college. Outside of that, I’m deeply passionate about food photography and gardening. I specialize in growing my own produce and caring for a thriving collection of houseplants—something my friends and family know me well for. I recently completed the Master Gardener program and will officially receive my certification this August, which has been one of my proudest accomplishments.
Through my blog, QueDaVeggie, I combine my love for visual storytelling and food by capturing the vibrant details of the meals I prepare, order, or grow myself. I’m not necessarily known in a big way yet, but I strive to connect with readers through engaging captions and thoughtful content. What sets me apart is the care I put into every photo and post—I’m genuinely passionate about what I do and excited to keep learning and growing in this creative space.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
