Rising Stars: Meet Simeon Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simeon Brown.

Hi Simeon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am originally from Tunica, MS. I am the son of two loving, hardworking, and God-fearing parents, Limon and Elizabeth Brown. We came from very humble beginnings. Growing up, we didn’t have a whole lot, but there was a lot of love. My parents instilled the love of God in my brothers and me from birth.

Coming of age, I remember always being curious about how the world works. I would always dream of being able to take care of my family financially, so college was a no-brainer for me. I thought if I went to school, and did what I was supposed to do then things would work out for me. I was in for a surprise of a lifetime. Things eventually worked out, but not how I envisioned.

During and after college, I was a manager for Sears while finishing up my Master’s Degree in Entertainment Business. After graduation, I would apply for jobs consistently and would get consistently turned down. When companies wouldn’t even give me a chance, I started to feel as if I wasn’t good enough. Thus, depression began to set in. My dreams of taking care of my family were slowly slipping away.

It wasn’t until my girlfriend at the time (spoiler alert, she’s now my wife) noticed that I wasn’t the same. She noticed that I was quieter than usual, which is unusual because I always have something to say. One day, out of nowhere, she said that we need to get out of here… this place is weighing heavily on you. I couldn’t agree more with her, it was hard trying to get my foot in somebody’s door with few connections.

So, I quit my job, and we made a move! Within the first month after moving, I started to attend networking events, putting my face out there. I didn’t spend a lot of money before we moved, so we had a nice savings account, but we definitely started tapping into it. I needed to start making some money right away. We started applying for jobs just to support our mission.

My wife applied for a similar company that she managed and was turned down for a regular associate job, and I was like…What?!? Who do they think they are?! So, I applied for the same position, went in for the interview planning to tell them about themselves, and they hired me on the spot. This was the beginning of something special that I couldn’t see at the moment.

We needed the money, so I accepted the job. I met some key people in my life while I was there. That job was for a reason. I was only there for 9 months until I accepted a job with the largest entertainment gaming company in the world.

I finally made it! I had a job with benefits in the entertainment industry! I knew it wasn’t the top position in the company, but I was pleased to be putting my degree to use. My title was great, my team was cool, plus I got to meet some of the biggest stars in music. Even though things were starting to look up, I still remembered my dream of being able to take care of my family, financially.

I knew this job was great to have, but I wasn’t going to get rich from it. So, I started praying for something, but I just didn’t know what I was praying for. I only asked God for what I wanted, and I was going to leave it up to him how it was going to happen. One year later, I connected with a good friend of mine, TK, and he introduced me to an opportunity that he was doing.

I knew I needed the services myself and the income was needed. I invested that same week and got started. This was the beginning of my now breakthrough journey as an entrepreneur.

Fast forward a few months, the business started booming! It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. This being my first time as an entrepreneur, I had a lot to learn. I had to make sure I understood the business. So, I became a student. I did everything that TK told me to do. He was seeing success in the business, so I wanted to duplicate that same success. One day, I wanted to fly first class for the first time, so I booked a quick flight to Dallas.

That’s where I met a successful entrepreneur sitting right beside me, and he told me to make sure I continue my education as an entrepreneur and to never stop learning and self-developing. From that moment on, I started increasing my knowledge, and self-development. I had 4 coaches and a mentor.

Now the coachable student has become the coach. I mentor and coach thousands of people all over the nation. We built a community called the Power Up Community which is a training platform created to help someone developmentally as an entrepreneur. It’s a community where a group of people comes together to mastermind, share ideas, successes, and proven methods to help everyone move closer to their dreams.

My business generates $250,000 in sales every month, that’s $3,000,000 in sales per year. I currently live in one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S and I’m able to fulfill that dream for my family that I’ve always had. I’m now a business influencer, national speaker, and thought leader for several schools, colleges, and companies.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There were definitely struggles along the way, with the biggest struggle being me.

I had to learn that I was the person that was holding me back the entire time I was struggling. But I also know that the struggle made me appreciate who I’ve become today. Those humble beginnings keep me grounded even in my success today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a business coach & mentor, and a serial entrepreneur. I specialize in helping people launch online businesses with coaching and mentorship.

I am known for helping everyday people launch, scale, and grow businesses. I am most proud of the work we’re doing in the Power Up Community by helping people find their breakthroughs and change their lives using the systems and methods we teach.

What sets me apart from others is my business is built on biblical principles. God gave me the idea, the strategies, the platform, the clients, and the knowledge to teach others. For that, I am forever grateful.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
The advice I would give anyone who’s just starting out is don’t get so caught up in yesterday, that you forget to make a decision today, that will affect your tomorrow.

Find you a coach. Find a mentor. Read books, not just any books, but books to help you develop in all areas of your life.

The one thing that I wish I knew when I first started was that if I can BE, then I can DO, and If I can DO, then I can HAVE anything that I desire.
