Today we’d like to introduce you to Wilbur Hines.
Hi Wilbur, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Präməs, pronounced “promise” is a fashion meets fitness company created to serve. We strive to offer high-quality apparel and fitness content for men and women of all ages. ˈPräməs was established in 2021, by yours truly, the owner and founder, Wilbur Hines Jr.
The initial design was taken from the dictionary and spelled, ˈēkwəl. The word equal was designed for encouraging anyone to strive to become the equivalent to their greatest version.
Fortunately, I found that it was a good fit for my personal training vision. However, the clothing merchandise sales did not resonate as I wished.
So, after the redesign for ˈPräməs came into play in the same manner from the dictionary spelling, I knew I had something. My arrangement skills began to grow. Witnessing the design come to life on the black background soon became ˈPräməs Premium LUX and here we are. Making one shirt for myself immediately, I soon had to make a shirt for everyone I knew.
Towards the winter the hoodies and sweaters were a big request. Now, my vision stretches from the office to the weekend outing. After striving in the first year of business, I would like to see what the future holds.
As a personal trainer, I know physical training increases stability and endurance. I’ve applied this mindset to the ˈPräməs clothing brand and entrepreneurship.
Establishing good habits, these traits has improved my quality of life. Overall, it’s an honor to help others every day with style and lifestyle. With the proper instruction, anyone can reap the benefits of showing up every day and getting it done.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With COVID-19 numbers rising, seeing the world change right before my eyes in a way I’ve never seen before, really took some time to get used to. We have a strict cleanliness process that offers a safe quality product to our customers. We are grateful for the opportunity to inspire!

How do you define success?
Success is doing what makes you light up. Believing in every moment whether you’re up to or down. It is to see a vision and find the purpose in yourself to execute it.
