Hi Danielle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Neat N Tidy Cleaning Services LLC was conceived from a passion for cleaning. I always had a passion for cleaning. Every Sunday I would wake up and clean my home. My fiancee would always jokingly say “people would pay you to clean their homes. You have an eye for detail and you’re always cleaning something”.
I thought about the idea of starting a cleaning service but got discouraged because I did not personally know any business owners that I could talk to in order to start. I was working at a financial institution as a bank teller and was afraid to quit the fear of failure. I questioned my ability to operate a business independently.
So I allowed the idea to slip to the back of my mind until a later date. The idea always came to mind, but I dismissed it. I reached out to a few Facebook friends and asked about connecting with someone about writing a business proposal. Soon after, Neat N Tidy Cleaning Services LLC was established.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to establishing Neat N Tidy Cleaning Services LLC was a bit of a struggle. I started out as a one-person crew. I worked as a bank teller Monday-Friday and Saturday and Sunday were dedicated to Neat N Tidy. I literally worked 7 days a week. The inquiries were coming in and I wanted to service every single inquiry that contacted me.
I simply was not capable of it. Once again fear of failure became a thought. How are you going to start cleaning service with no help? Did you really think you could do all of this on your own? It’s still early, you can give up and no one would notice. Just try again later. All of these statements were running through my head. However, I did not allow fear of failure to deter my goal of pursuing entrepreneurship.
I utilized my calendar and a program that allowed me to schedule appointments and set perimeters around when I would receive inquiries and when I would respond. My fiancee helped out when it came to time management and business ideas. With his help and my determination, I was able to schedule services in a way that I was not overwhelmed.
I also realized I needed the help. Soon after, a crew for Neat N Tidy Cleaning Services LLC was established.

Neat N Tidy Cleaning Services LLC is a licensed and insured cleaning service that serves Memphis, TN, and surrounding areas.
Neat N Tidy offers a variety of services such as general cleaning, deep cleaning, small commercial cleaning, laundry services, organizing services, interior appliance cleaning, post-event clean up, and bathtub deep cleaning. After the first cleaning service, clients are gifted a complimentary candle as a thank you for choosing us to clean their homes.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Great customer service. As a business, if the customer service is terrible the business does not stand a chance of thriving.
