Hi Brigitte, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I could find cute clothing that wasn’t modest. I could find modest clothing that wasn’t cute. But not cute, modest clothing. I started designing my own line and instantly had people ask me to style them.
At one point, over 100 women showed up at my house one week to shop my line. I opened a brick-and-mortar shop and landed a deal with Costco! Now, I’m an authority on SexyModest clothing for women.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was a sad day when we had to choose between leaving our brick-and-mortar locations open and keeping our family married and together.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Two college dropouts had a dream. They didn’t take no for answers. Our “overnight success” took 15 years!
What were you like growing up?
I’m a small-town girl from Iowa who always had an eye and love for fashion. We joke about it, but I’m really from a one-stoplight town. Everybody knows everybody.
